Good value for the money - I don't get the impression it's going to fall apart in five minutes. There's not a lot of clearance between cylinder and ground, so make sure you use it on the flat(!) or you'll scrape the cylinder, like I did.........The gauge is spot on, compared with my old tyre gauge, but the metal connector is a little stiff - easy to attach on my bike, but a bit more awkward on the car. This pump is a single cylinder, and doesn't put a lot of air in per stroke, but I figured a dual cylinder would be more strain on the frame and I wanted a pump that would last, so that's personal choice. Besides, I need the exercise.......

Not that heavy duty!
Having had a cheap Halfords pump which had to be replaced twice because of it breaking I decided to purchase something a bit more heavy duty and better quality. The draper name is renowned with tools and was one I trusted and was part of my decision in choosing this particular pump. The first one arrived damaged. There are two quite flimsy plastic catches on the side which slide to keep the pump closed. They were both broken completely in transit which was an overnight Prime delivery. Amazon were very efficient in dealing with this and the return. Cannot fault them.A replacement was delivered and within minutes one of the catches broke again. Very poor for what is supposed to be a heavy duty pump. The rubber feet are also quite flimsy and soon wear through to bare metal with very little usage if it is on a hard surface such as a drive!!??Overall would I purchase this pump again? No I wouldn't at about £20 it wasn't cheap and I don't feel it is really fit for purpose. Some basic design changes and it would be a much better product.

Broke after 3rd use
Seemed good quality but broke after 3rd use. The bottom of the chamber is just soldered to the cross bar and this failed. Going in the bin and I'm off to Halfords.

Yet another duff foot pump.
Over the past two or three years I've lost count of the number of foot pumps I've bought* and which either broke almost immediately due to leakage around the cylinder or were rendered useless by a very poor connection to the valve. My last foot pump was also a Draper and this sprung a leak at the cylinder on it's third use. As this was a cheap model and I'd bought it at a cut price store I was willing to believe that the claim that my latest buy had been made to a higher, ("professional"), standard. The fact that a clip which secured the pump in the closed position was broken and loose in the box did not bode well. However, I've managed to use this pump twice and it works - after a fashion. It is peculiar in that the connection to the valve has to be made with clip in the closed position, then before pumping, has to be left in the open position. This sounds impossible but it has worked - so far. (I need a foot pump as filling station pumps no longer reach the valves on my motorcycle.)* I've had at least one single cylinder and two double cylinder pumps made by Michelin and at least two single cylinder pumps from Halfords.

Five Stars
Excellent product and strongly made.

Sturdy and accurate guage
Only criticism and it is a slight one is that I bought this because it is wider than most others assuming it would be more stable, it is, but not by much so a single cylinder may have been just as good.

Disappointed. Perhaps it should have been a 2 star
Not as solid as you would expect it to be. Care has to be taken to press down straight, otherwise it catches the edges. This will only last if it is used infrequently and carefully. Disappointed. Perhaps it should have been a 2 star?
