Pies are scrummy- not sure about the waistline though!
I love the versatility this product gives me. Left over meat- no problem, using bought pastry couldn’t be easier to make pies. Roll out the dough, insert into the pie mould, insert pie ingredients, cover with pastry lid, and put the maker on. Job done. . The pies on the picture are chicken and mushroom, but I have made Apple pies , and mincemeat pies too.( and all taste scrummy).I have found it easier to use the pie maker when it’s cold rather that pre heat( as I can attest to burnt fingers trying to get pastry into a hot mould ),and l leave for 15 minutes to cook from cold. Also, the instructions recommend using a strip of baking paper to act as a ‘hoist’ to get the hot cooked pie out of the mould. I found this a must do- it is quite fiddly trying to get hot pies out if you don’t.

Great pie maker
Have Judge saucepans, toaster and now PIE MAKERThe pies in the photo are the 2nd batch I have made and what I have learnt is* don’t attempt to put your rolled out pastry in the wells when it is warm or hot, it shrinks the pastry down as it starts to cook ( why I have 7 and not 8)*lightly grease all 4 wells and the fluted edges* to ensure the pastry is cooked on the top - make sure you stack enough filling in (my back right wasn't filled high enough as you can see)* whatever you want to put in your pies , cherry, apple, meat, veg , just cook raw ingredients in a pan, slow cooker etc (it wont cook raw meat or raw hard/frozen veg, I have seen that asked on here) pie fillings (those from a can) shouldn't need to be heated, I haven't done.Take time to read the instructions and you will get good use from this Judge Pie Maker. Well impressed

Neat and simple
Neat, simple to use & clean.Whether it will turn out to be a '9 day wonder' when the novelty wears of - we will have to see.Just as quick to make one in a frying pan!But the omelettes are fine.

Easy homemade pies.
Easy to produce really good homemade, deep filled pies. I line the 'cups' of the pie maker with greaseproof paper, leaving a little overlapping, so that the pies are really easy to lift out. The cutter that comes with it makes it a doddle to cut the pastry to the correct size. I've also used this to make crustless quiche & it's good for making them too. Recommended.

Great piece of kit
Ordered this on a whim and can’t fault it. Easy to use. I had no difficulty removing pies once cooked. Someone suggested switching off and turning it upside down. Hey presto.

Easy to use
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Makes lovely pies with easy to follow instructions. Only downside is that the pie maker has to cool down after each batch of two pies, otherwise a great buy for people who like pies.

Poor latch ... and it was so close to having a full 5 star rating
This is a great pie maker, it cooks evenly and I have no problem getting the pies out.I have made: steak and ale, beef mince, macaroni cheese and chicken supreme , all deliciousI used JustRol puff pastry and also tried Tesco's ready rolled.. both work equally well, the ready rolled is less work..It has just one minor fault, when starting to cook and pie is expanding, occasionally the latch jumps open with a bang... it's easy re-,close but this is a design fault that could be remedied with a stronger latch. This was the reason I only gave 4 starsI didn't return it as it makes a great pies and re-closing the latch isn't an issue .. just a bit annoying.
