easy install, good stability, wish there were replaceable feet
This installed very easily, just pulled off my old tip, placed this one on, and used hand tightening (someone with grip strength or hand coordination issues would probably need assistance.) The package included adapters for two common cane sizes, but I only needed the 3/4" adapter. It does add several inches of height to the cane, as it is longer than a regular tip, but fortunately, my adjustable cane worked with its lowest setting. An option for people who can't adjust their canes low enough would be to have someone trim off the end of your cane to allow for the added height.Walking - it has a very slight flex/tilt at the tip, allowing for the feet to be placed squarely on the ground for more of your stride. I also found it to be much lighter than other solid plastic/rubber cane tips I have tried, bringing the total weight of my adjustable cane with this tip to be very similar to a stock Hurrycane's weight. I don't notice the shock absorber feature much, as I'm not slamming the cane into the ground, but if I push down extremely hard, it does have some give. This might be more useful for other folks than it is for me.Useful when not walking, too. The tip allows my cane to stand up on its own on many surfaces, but has problems on uneven surfaces. That said, I didn't get it for its ability to stand up. Also very helpful for retrieval for a dropped cane (which I do a lot) by simply pressing on one of the upended toes of the cane tip, and your cane handle will lever up from the floor. Takes some practice to do, but lets you retrieve the cane while holding on to something else for stability. The one thing I really wish this tip company would make are replaceable rubber pads for the tip. I imagine these will have a decently long life, but when they do wear out, I don't want to have to buy a whole new assembly just for some rubber padding. I may try to 3d-print new pads, or trim furniture feet from a hardware store.

It works but could be better.
It works well. If the feet were a little farther out it would be more stable and the assembly is quite tall so you will need to lower your cane several (3-4) positions.

Cane can stand on its own, and is easier to pick up if I drop it.
Bought this tip mostly so my cane can stand on its own when I need my hands free. Added bonus: If I drop my cane, I can use my foot to flip the cane upright by the base. Be aware, this tip adds a few inches to your cane length. My cane is adjustable, but still had to cut a few inches off the bottom or it would have been too long. Once I trimmed the cane, the length is perfect. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Better than a Hurry!
Mom was interested in a Hurricane but did not like the "T" handle it come with. She prefers her standard "J" hook type, not really sure what you call it. So I found this and took a chance. She likes it and now has the best of both worlds: a tripod base similar to the "hurricane" with a handle she likes better. Stands on her (short) carpet no problem, and that is what she really likes best. The hard part was getting the old rubber tip off. Putting this on was cake and seemed to tighten up securely, only time will tell if it loosens.

Different product from description
As you see, shipped product is different from description(but same name). It needs a tool to fasten it inconvently. Even easily loosen then pulled out. Do I need to carry the tool everywhere and every time? I would refund this.

Stable cane
The tip is very stable and stands alone. It also adds height to a cane that was borderline for use, as I am 6'5" tall.
