Note: This product sat on the shelf for a very long time. I did try it earlier on, but the results mentioned in this review happened recently. Apparently shelf life is decent, lbvs. Additional Note: This is a difficult product to review for me. I have no reference to compare against. I have used the little cheap electronic PH testers, even the 3-1 variations, but that's about it for me and testing soil... All I can say about this product is, I used it, I took into account the information I was able to gather, put it to use and got positive results. I was able to adjust soil in multiple areas specifically to the plants I have there and most of them did just fine.. Infact, this year, the only problems I had was a very short instance of blossom end rot on a single tomato plant, and FREAKING SLUGS/SNAILS!! I just could not combat the slugs and snails this year, so my kohlrabies suffered horribly, only got 2 this year. Sheesh... Tip: Beneficial Nematodes... The one thing I did not do this year and it shows... So in the end, I cannot say rather or not the product is accurate or any of the crucial details I would love to provide on a product like this. But, I can say, regardless, it did help me. The information the product gave me still gave me positive results.

Well, this makes it easy to test my garden soil to find out where I’m at after 15 years of gardening and no testing turns out I have plenty of nitrogen but with low and phosphorus. I’m also a little off on my pH anyway good to know she really be doing this at least every year or two since it was so easy and inexpensive.

I had never used this soil test kit before. So when I went to try it, I was astonished by the results. Seeing all the results that it gave me, I was able to understand and read them easily. These strips really get the job done, and not to mention that there was still so much left in the box. This is a good recommendation for those who want to test their soil.

Not for me. My pool test kit is easy, so I thought this would be, but it's more involved. My gripe is that I did a soil PH test & after you go through the 45 minutes of procedures, you compare the color in 2nd test tube to color chart to obtain a PH number, BUT, they don't provide ANY info on what that number means. I had to go online to find out what my soil PH level meant. It's something they could easily have included with the color chart-it's general info. This may be good for people who want more extensive testing-I just wanted simple tests for the standard 3 and PH. Will rely on instincts.
