Didn’t know I needed this…
I used my Magic Mouse for everything; however, it can become uncomfortable after a few hours. So, I got this trackpad because I wanted to try something different, and I wasn't disappointed. It can be configured in many ways and helps reduce wrist and hand stress. For tasks that require more precision, I have no problem using the trackpad, but would a mouse be easier? That depends on your workflow. The battery life is good, and it goes to sleep when not in use. You also have the option to switch it off when not using for an extended time. You can alsl charge it and use the trackpad at the same time. When I opened the product, it instantly connected to my Mac. Of course, it is sleek, and its aesthetic is great. I chose the lightning connector since I felt that the $149 cost was overpriced, so the value for the money made the comfort worth it. It is not a lightweight product and seems to be of good quality.

A Must-Have for Mac Users
If you own a Mac, the Apple Magic Trackpad truly feels like a natural extension of your system. The multi-touch surface is incredibly responsive, and the gestures are smooth and intuitive — making navigation, switching between apps, and managing multitasking an absolute breeze. I primarily use mine while working from home, and it’s been a game-changer for productivity. The wireless connection is flawless, the battery life is excellent, and it charges quickly with the included USB-C to Lightning cable. I also love the larger surface area compared to a MacBook’s built-in trackpad — it gives me plenty of space without feeling bulky. The black finish looks modern and professional, and pairs nicely with other Apple accessories. It’s also much more ergonomic for long work sessions than using a traditional mouse, especially if you’re already used to Mac gestures. It’s not cheap, but worth every dollar for the quality, design, and integration with macOS. If you’re a Mac user — especially someone working remotely or doing creative work — this is an upgrade that genuinely improves the experience.

Great device
I actually use this in conjunction with a mouse. My mouse is to the right of my keyboard and this is to the left. I use the trackpad for gestures and the mouse for fine-grained motion. Works well.

Excellent as usual with new Apple devices
Paired with my MacBook Air via included type C to C cable. After initial connection, paired automatically via bluetooth. Works perfectly, responsive and intuitively for built in computed trackpad users. Great addition to my setup.

Smooth, Responsive, and the Best Gesture Experience on macOS
The Apple Magic Trackpad in Black is an absolute game-changer if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. I’ve used plenty of trackpads and mice over the years, but nothing comes close to how smooth, accurate, and intuitive this one feels. The multi-touch surface is incredibly responsive — gestures like swiping between desktops, pinch-to-zoom, and Mission Control feel instant and natural. The black finish looks premium and stylish, especially if you’re going for a modern, minimalist desk setup. It pairs perfectly with the black Magic Keyboard and the overall build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Apple: solid, sleek, and high-end. Force Touch is another huge plus. The click feels consistent everywhere on the surface, and the haptic feedback makes it feel like a physical click even though it isn’t. It’s comfortable for long work sessions and noticeably easier on the wrist compared to a mouse. Battery life is excellent — it lasts weeks on a single charge, and you can keep using it while it’s plugged in. Pairing is instant and reliable with zero lag. If you want the smoothest navigation experience on macOS or you’re building a clean desktop layout, the Magic Trackpad is absolutely worth it. It makes everyday computing feel faster, easier, and more enjoyable.

I've been using this in tandem with a mouse (I use mouse right handed, and use trackpad on left) and here is what I think: Great Feel: The trackpad feels fantastic. The smooth, multi-touch surface is a nice. Compatibility: It works seamlessly on both Linux and Mac, which is a solid plus for my setup. Gestures: The gestures are intuitive. If you're comfortable using Macbook gestures, you're right at home. They make navigating and multitasking much more efficient. Overall Satisfaction: I really like this trackpad. It's a great addition to my workstation, combining excellent build quality with versatile functionality - though it is kind of expensive.

The Apple Magic Trackpad is hands down the best trackpad I’ve ever used! If you love fluid navigation, multi-touch gestures, and seamless macOS integration, this is an absolute must-have. ✅ Why I Love It: ✔️ Ultra-Smooth & Responsive – The glass surface feels incredibly premium, and every swipe, scroll, and zoom feels effortless. The haptic feedback is so precise that I forget it’s not a physical click! ✔️ Seamless macOS Integration – Multi-touch gestures like Mission Control, Exposé, and app switching are super intuitive and fast. Perfect for anyone who wants an efficient workflow. ✔️ Large Surface Area – The edge-to-edge glass makes gestures way more comfortable than using a MacBook’s built-in trackpad. ✔️ Instant Connectivity – Pairs instantly via Bluetooth, and I never experience lag or disconnections. ✔️ Long Battery Life – A single charge lasts over a month, which is incredibly convenient. ✔️ Minimalist & Elegant Design – The low-profile, sleek white design looks great on any desk setup. ⚠️ Any Downsides? Honestly, I have zero complaints. The price is premium, but so is the experience. If you’re someone who values a high-end trackpad experience, this is worth every penny. 🎯 Final Verdict: If you’re an Apple user who loves gestures, precision, and fluid navigation, the Magic Trackpad is simply the best in its class. The key differences are simple. USB-C to Lightning (new threaded cable) (I personally do not like USB-C and prefer 3.0 usb as it's more relevant between devices) Greater functionality between mac, windows and even a console. Improved technology equates to Increased responsiveness/compatibility. I bought this specifically for my workflow as I'm a former mac user and this is my comfort zone. overall touch and feel is a dream. I look forward to surfing through the world wide web with this. Well done, Apple. After some input management, I can navigate through UE5 viewports. I use it in cahoots with a typical mouse. Their is a github script that will allow it to fully function with a windows platform. The greatest caveat to overcome is connecting via bluetooth on windows os. Although not difficult, its easy to assume it's not working upon first use because it won't show itself in the list immediately - Sometimes for several minutes. The process is simple. You may have to re-search for devices 2 or more times. Power off touchpad > Add device > Select Bluetooth > Power on touchpad while its searching. if it doesn't appear the first time, trial and error it. I found this to be the most efficient way to establish the first connection. After that, it becomes a recognized device and it will automatically do it's thing upon every boot.

What can i say?? I absolutely love this product. its a very sleek design from the old magic trackpad. The matte finish glass on top makes it very smooth to navigate the trackpad and the battery life is amazing that is lasting me almost 2 months and the battery is only at 47% from when i last charged it 2 months ago. Im assuming the battery can last me another 1-2 months before i have to charge it. the box comes packaged beautifully. (It is Apple after all). with the trackpad itself nicely wrapped and a braided USB-C to Lightning Cable. Best part is once its connected to your mac its automatic connection.
