Better than a big blowfly!!!!!<grin>
ETA: Just one more thing...I ended up buying another Boost for a total of two of them. Since getting the first Boost I've listened to more music than I have in YEARS!!!! Great little speakers...and there are some DEEP deals going on right now...look around. ;) 06/05/2019 Ok, so you read my 3-star review shown below. BUT.... First thing, pay attention, you've got something on your nose. On the right side. Check it out. While checking did you notice this is now a 5-Star review? Uh huh... <grin> Here we go... You stumble upon a company once in a while that, well, just won't quit trying to get things right. Now, my previous review was a stab at giving an honest opinion on what I encountered with the Motion B speaker in regards to my expectations...and I still agree with what I wrote, nothing to change with it. But, I do have a couple of things to add to my that review and somewhat of a new review. For you first readers here, this will akin to the length of "Gone With The Wind" or maybe "War and Peace"...no, no, no, I'm not long-winded at all!!!!<grin> I received an email from Anker telling me that they were sorry that I wasn't satisfied with their product and that they really wanted me to be. I blew it off...didn't want to fool with it. I figured I'd just send the speaker back to Amazon and go on with my life being the old phart that I'm becoming<g>. Nope, didn't happen. This company just won't be satisfied until they have a happy customer. When I didn't respond...they persisted. It finally got through my thick skull they really did really want me to be happy!!! That is amazing in this day and age where we tend to feel like a number to these big corporations. Apparently that isn't the case with Anker. Finally, I responded to them with name, rank, and serial number and they quickly started the process of getting a new, updated speaker into my hands and into my jeep. I'm kinda "ho, hum" about it all...but with a little hidden excitement, too. ;) A nice person that had been pestering me<grin> with the emails wrote me and said they had shipped a replacement speaker to me. It got to me pretty fast, despite the USPS "forgetting" (Postmasters own words) to stop and deliver it and me having to go into town to retrieve it from them.<sigh> Ok, so I got a new/different speaker from them. Proof's in the puddin'. I replaced the old speaker in my jeep with this one, a Soundcore Boost. Immediately I heard a difference. Seemed richer, deeper, more...fidelity? Hmmm. But, that was sitting still, not traveling down the road on all-terrain tires on our nicely chunked-out highways that we have around here...read that as "ROAD NOISE". Well, I got going down the road and had to naturally turn the volume up a tad, no problem. And...there it was...music that I could hear!!! Words that I could hear!!! I'm suddenly tickled with the speaker...happy and grinning like a green anole eating a big blowfly!!!!!<LOL> Now, don't get me wrong. You ain't gonna blow your windows out with this speaker and you ain't gonna rattle the windows of nice, hard-working folks homes as you ride by (don't that noise just wad your daisy-dukes up!!!). But, what you can do is ride down the road and hear some good sounds coming from this little speaker. Even this deaf old guy smiles now. I haven't had a chance to try it out in the garden but I'm feeling mighty confident I'll be able to hear Jim Croce on the opposite end of the garden as he sings "Bad, bad Leroy Brown" as I'm picking and squashing bugs on my eggplants!!!! :^) Yep, I'm ah grinnin'!!!!!!!! But, calm down. I've gotta say something about the Soundcore Motion B speaker, too. I mentioned in my first review that I thought it would be a good speaker to sit on an office desk or something. I kept the Motion B (courtesy of a deal I couldn't refuse from Anker). I've got it now sitting at my shop on top of my computer case. The volume level is turned about 30% (rough guesstimate) and it's jamming. Nice clear in an office environment...well, at least in my office environment (not your typical office, I suppose...rocks scattered everywhere, a couple of honey bee swarm traps sitting against the wall, junk scattered here and there, etc.,...IBM or Amazon probably don't have offices like mine!!! But, I digress. The original speaker, the Motion B, is doing a great job here on my desk. Amazingly well, actually. I think my problem was trying to overpower the road/tire noise of my jeep plus not the greatest sound chamber for it either. Bottom line...go back to the green anole, I'm happy as can be with no need to look any further for a speaker (or blowfly<grin>). The folks at Anker...they're apparently bonafide nuts....about making their customers happy, that is!!! :) Thanks Anker!!! =========== (Original Review) I bought this speaker to use in my jeep to bluetooth from my iPhone. I'm not a young, techno-guy, but I enjoy listening to good music. Besides using as a bluetooth speaker in my jeep I also intended to use it to provide music while I worked in my vegetable garden. Last year, around Christmastime at Lowe's, I purchased a small cube-shaped Anker bluetooth speaker for my wife for less than $20. I was amazed with the sound and volume...clear and rich. The build quality was very good. I borrowed the little cube speaker on occasion and listened to it while I worked in the garden...it worked well. I figured if that small speaker did well that I could buy a larger one and it would work even better, especially out in the garden. I live in a rural location with no nearby neighbors so I'm not worried about bothering them with my 70's music. ;) So, I ordered the Soundcore Motion B by Anker to use in and outside of my jeep. The build quality appears to be very good for the Soundcore MB, nice tight construction. The waterproof quality was very attractive to me...leaving it sitting on my jeep while I gardened and a sudden rainshower shows up or I simply forget to put it inside the jeep one night and it would be soaked with rain or dew...being sealed against the elements was a big feature for me. The battery powers the speaker for a long time. Most of the time that I used it out in the garden I had my iPhone sitting in the jeep within four or five feet of the speaker, but there was a couple of times that I had the phone in my pocket and I was well over 55' from the speaker...the bluetooth range is stated as 66' which I think is definitely within reason. There were a couple of times that the connection dropped but that was only because the speaker and phone were a good distance away *and* I had moved to where the jeep was physically between the two...big chunk of metal does kinda interfere with things. Good construction. Nice waterproof feature. Very good battery life. Bluetooth range is excellent. And even the "look" of the speaker is nice. But.... The sound quality....very underwhelming to me. I tried the speaker for the first time while working in the garde. I tried positioning the speaker where it had something behind it, nothing behind it, sitting in an open window to use the space inside as a sound chamber, tilting it up/down/angled,...I tried most everything I could but it still had a muffled tone to it. Not the clarity of that little cube that I bought last year. This model is supposed to be better in producing bass than it's predecessor but the bass sounds anemic to me. If you turn the speaker up past 2/3's volume it tends to get real noisy really fast. Whereas working in the garden and listening to the little cube speaker I could hear the lyrics in a song, with the Soundcore MB it seems that the lyrics get lost in the "sound" (noise?) and basically all I hear is the tune with a few words emerging occasionally. That explanation was probably as clear as mud. The speaker just sounds to shallow to me, to "scratchy". I've also tried it inside the jeep while commuting and it tends to aggravate me, again a tinny sound of sorts. If the volume is turned up then the noise factor clutters the music up. It has sat on the console in front of the gear shifter and is now sitting on top of the dash. Turn the volume down where it sounds "decent" and it's too low, turn the volume up where you can hear...and the sound becomes muddled. This speaker most likely will be going back to Amazon as it just hasn't fulfilled my prime expectation of good sounding music. If my intentions were to sit it on a desk and never exceed 40-50 percent volume it would probably do well, but that's not what I intended to use it for.

Amazing Portable Speakers
Soundcore is the new line of speakers by Anker. The motion B is simply amazing. It's a portable bluetooth speaker that's waterproof with a great battery life. I love how Anker managed to put a lot of specifications in a compact design. That's the quality I love about Anker products. It has Dual 1.75" audio drivers that provide clear acoustics with a rich bass. It's packs a great battery life that lasted with me around of 11-12 hours of playtime on high volume. The feel of the control buttons is really comfortable. They make toggling through the buttons seemingly, even when wet. There's a power button, lower volume, play/pause/skip, raise volume and Bluetooth connectivity buttons. It's IPX7 waterproof meaning that it's splash resistance and isn't affected even if it's immersed in water within 3 feet (1 meter) for a maximum of 30 mins. It can pair with your device by bluetooth 4.2 and has a great wireless connectivity distance. I usually leave my phone to charge in my room while I'm either cooking in the kitchen or hanging out in the living area and have the soundcore playing music without any interruptions. You can also connect it by an AUX cable. I Highly recommend The Soundcore Motion B because of its compact design packing a lot of high quality specs with a great price that doesn't break the bank

Good, but a bit of a disappointment. UPDATED****
The speakers are solid. Came cleanly, and the packaging is great. Connects quickly, with the typical strong connection that Ankers have. The speakers also charge quickly, and look good. I like how the buttons are smoothly integrated, more than prior versions; doesn't take as much of a press on the buttons to get anything done. The battery is consistent. Charges quickly, and lasts longer than you realize too. However, it does seem like there is one weakness, and for me that's the bass. I love a strong, smooth bass, that doesn't overwhelm but blends well while also manages to let you know that it's there. On this one, compared to the Soundcore 2 that I have, the bass seems to be somewhat underwhelming, and sort of weak to tell you the truth. It's there, but it doesn't stand out. For me, who listens to a lot of R&B, soul music, jazz, and hip hop, I don't get as much punch from these as much as I had expected from Anker. I don't really love them, but I do like them - it's probably due to the high expectations of the Soundcoure 2. They are loud - definitely louder than the Soundcore 2, and I think the mid is a bit better than the Soundcore 2, but overall not quite as much of a home run as I had thought - maybe more of a triple. In my estimation, these are better balanced that the older Soundcores. I had planned to get another pair for the stereo effect and I still may do so because of the IPX7 rating, and I definitely look forward to testing them out by the pool. The bass may not be as punchy as I had expected, but still a very good, balanced speaker with good connectivity, battery life, and sound. Definitely will get the job done. - I'm going to amend this because of the ridiculously good customer service that Anker has, and also updates after a couple weeks. First of all, while the bass still isn't what I expected, I won't say it's nonexistent - it's just not what I expected. It's better balanced, again but not as punchy. It sounds great in the shower, and I have no worries with moisture while using it. The battery life is great, don't have to really worry about charges. Even with my quibbles, I must confess that this is usually my go-to speaker at the moment. Again, Anker's customer service is phenomenal. After my original review, they made sure to check with me and also sent me another speaker that I will be reviewing later. I was pleasantly surprised at the hasty response - I didn't have any real complaints with the 10 or other Soundcores that I've bought either for myself, or for family and friends. This company is different - in a very good way. Can't really argue with consistently good, durable products, or hasty, professional customer service. Shoutout to Anker.

Simply the best open sounding wireless speaker I have ever heard. This tiny little box packs a punch to make everything sound like it is being played from a bookshelf! Not exaggerating! The design and calibration of this speaker is such that it feels almost magical to believe. Throw this in a corner about 6 inches to 1ft away from the wall, and do a blind test with someone who is a bass head. He/she will definitely assume a small subwoofer to be present in the room along with bookshelves for sure. Just go for it. This is great for taking calls too. I have tested it. And it works like a charm. Battery backup is good. No problems thus far.

Being an Anker product I thought I would give this a go. The speaker is very easy to set up, gives good quality audio at even high levels of volume. the sound for the most part is clear, though not as clear as my other bluetooth speaker. What I find most problematic, however, is that the device tends to lose a bit of synchronicity with the video on Youtube. At first it seems ok, then it simply loses it. I thought perhaps it was the video, but when I played it with my other bluetooth device, it was perfectly synchronous. Not happy about that. If you don't really mind that lack of sychronicity, then by all means purchase it - it is a good product for the money. UPDATE: Anker Customer Support got in touch with me subsequent to this comment and offered to send me an Anker SoundCore Pro+ for trial, which I accepted. I was very impressed with their friendly and highly proactive reaction to my comment - totally unexpected on my part. The Pro+ is of significantly better quality and synchronises much better with my videos. Very happy with it. The Soundcore Motion B is smaller, lighter, and with a sound quality approaching the Pro+ (though not quite there - and the difference in price reflects that, of course). Whatever Anker product you choose, however, I am certain it will be of high quality and you simply can not match the level of Customer Support you will receive if you have a problem. Highly recommended.

Another good Anker product which I got on sale. It paired quickly and is very loud although the sound quality isn't the greatest when the speaker is put on its max volume. Nice size and good build quality. So far so good! Fairly portable but it isn't the smallest bluetooth speaker you can get. I havent verified the battery life but it does seem to last me a good while.
