Love it!
Had it a little while now and we all use it and love it. We've got it working dimmable colour changing light bulbs, video doorbell, outside security camera, motion sensors to turn on light bulbs in the night, plug sockets that control fans, stereo equipment, lamps ect. We also have 3 echo dots also connected in different rooms all connected through wi fi. Very easy to set up and use. Sound is amazing! Everything is voice controlled or motion sensored and can be used on the alexa app which is really easy to navigate. Really impressed. We have it on our coffee table in front of us and it acts as a photo frame continuously showing us all our family pics, news and weather updates, doorstep view when someone presses the doorbell button and so many other things. It's a good bit of fun and a very useful modern tool. We wouldn't want to be without it now.

Ring doorbell linkup
I bought this specifically to display Live View for my Ring doorbell. With a little help from a YouTube video I linked Alexa to Ring and the thing works like a dream: when the doorbell is pressed, I get a full screen view of who is in front of the camera. On my setup, it happens within a couple of seconds.I have shuttered the camera on the Show for privacy, and I have switched off the microphone for the same reason. It's easy to turn the microphone on with a switch at the top if I want to use the Alexa feature. That seems to work too but I doubt I will use it that often. The sound quality is very good so asking Alexa to play music might be a future use for me.Overall, I am very happy so far. Oh, I also bought one of the stands for it. Again, that works well.

Echo Show 8.
The Echo Show 8 so far has been a fantastic addition to my smart home, but I did encounter a minor issue during the initial setup. After plugging it in, it got stuck on a black screen, which was frustrating. However, after a quick restart and some fiddling around, it resolved itself, and everything worked smoothly from there.Once set up, the device is great in terms of audio and functionality. The spatial audio is a noticeable upgrade from my old Echo Show5 - rich, clear, and fills the room nicely, making it great for music and video calls.Alexa integration is as seamless as ever - I am able to control my HIVE thermostat and other smart devices, like lights and plugs, entirely through voice commands. These features in my opinion, turns the Echo Show 8 into a true smart home hub, making everyday tasks more convenient.The HD touchscreen is great, offering a clear and bright display that's ideal for watching videos, checking the weather, or following recipes. The size is perfect for a kitchen or living room, giving you all the visual information you need without being too large.Overall, aside from the brief setup glitch, the Echo Show 8 is a well-rounded smart display with excellent features - excellent value for money, highly recommended!

Very easy to use. Connected to all my other Alexa equipment easily. The sound quality is slightly better than previous generations.Good size. Faster responding than previous model.Good fun. Very informative.I just hope the screen lasts longer than the last two generations.

Well worth upgrading from earlier generation Echo
Great upgrade to our first generation Echo, which has served well as a source of music, doorbell announcer and voice commander for connected devices in our kitchen, having seen a few earlier Shows in action over the last few years, Amazon offering this 8” screen unit at a substantial discount triggered the purchase.First impression was that some form of stand is essential to optimise viewing angle, and I immediately purchased the PlusAcc charging base which is a magnetic mount unit with USB A & C outlets - very functional.This 8” Show has clear, sharp graphic output that copes well with natural and artificial lighting, I’ve set up various slide shows of family and travel photos that roll through nicely and the sound output is impressive from such a small unit.Integration with our Ring video camera and doorbell units is good, and the screen is big enough to watch any YouTube videos you just cant live without!

Bought this to replace an older version and very happy with my purchase, good sound and picture quality, very easy to set up and use. Good quality and can be very useful to have in the house to answer questions, play music and games, set timers and many more.
