This little pump works great for my purposes. It's fairly quiet. I cannot hear it in the cab over road noise and/or whatever media I have playing through the entertainment system. I am using on my Diesel transfer tank along with a solenoid valve to be able to refuel on the fly without having to manually open the valve to rely on just gravity feed. So far no hiccups. Refills the smaller truck tank much faster than relying on gravity feed alone. Will update review if needed.

Purchased this for use with a Harbor Freight 22 HP motor. The engine has a built in fuel pump that runs off of the engines vacuum. My fuel tank is several feet away and lower than the engine. Could not get the engine to start. I added this pump about 18" from the fuel tank and the engine starts and runs perfectly.

My use of this fuel pump is probably different from most others. I have a 45 foot toy hauler fifth wheel camper. The generator never worked well from day one. Even after the RV went in for warranty repair. The problem was the generator was being starved for gas. It's an Onan 5.5KW unit with the fuel pump installed right below the generator in the front of the RV. These toy haulers with generators and two fuel tanks have the tanks installed in the rear of the RV. The built in Onan pump must draw the gas through the 5/16" fuel line about 40 feet. It's no wonder RVs like this typically have this kind of problem. I installed this unit near the gas tanks in the rear of the RV. The RV had 12VDC readily available through the on board "toy" fuel tank, which I never use. I installed a lighted switch inside the small compartment that houses the two rear tanks. The generator runs perfect in this configuration. The universal pump (here for twelve bucks) pushes the fuel just fine all the way to the front of the RV - that was my first diagnostic step in curing the problem. The Onan fuel pump is still hooked up and running when the generator is running. I bought a second one of these universal pumps to have on hand because they are relatively inexpensive.

This fuel pump and hose melted, caught fire and burnt down my 1967 Ford Galaxie 500. Please if you value your car, research further and buy a quality hose and pump, even if you have to spend 10x the price. Also, definitely carry a good quality fire extinguisher. USA made, with metal valve, ABC rating, 5lbs minimum. I used all 5lbs and a water hose to put the fire out. THANK GOD I had just left the house, forgot something, came back to the house, went inside, came back outside and found that the car ON FIRE in the front yard. I was able to put out the fire, but it caused thousands of dollars in damage. But my car is thankfully still salvageable, due to my fire extinguisher and the fact that it happened at my house. I just have to spend a few thousand dollars now to get the car right again. Thanks to cheap parts. Wow. Never again. DO NOT BUY CHINESE JUNK FOR A CAR THAT YOU CARE ABOUT!

I bought this and used on my tractor for over six years before it finally quit. I replaced it with another brand that was even less expensive, but that only lasted six months. So I am buying another one of these. Very good product.
