Metaphor: ReFantazio Official Strategy Guide
P**S
A must have guide for Metaphor fans.
This is the definitive guide for Metaphor. Well written with plenty of illustrations and pictures. The book is detailed to the point it takes you through every item and achievement possible in the game. There is even a monster guide at the back of the book with a breakdown of every monster you might encounter and how to defeat them. My only regret is that I did not buy it at the preorder price of £29.99 and had to pay £44.99. Other than that however it is worth every penny!

Beautifully made, but didn’t meet expectations
It was kind of disappointing, to be honest. I expected more from the guide than just min maxing and a few errors. I had minor nitpicks about the way some information was laid out, such as full names of characters not being put in their introductions, which I sort of expected from a complete guide. It is still very nicely produced and would make an excellent home in a major fan’s collection, and no doubt first time players of the game looking to make the most of it will find the most use in it. I will be using this for my NG+ eventually, so I think it has a lot of use to players at different levels.

Very useful guide, but suffers from errors
The book looks amazing and will be very useful, but it does suffer from some minor mistakes. By page 11, I had spotted two errors; one grammatical mistake in Maria’s bio, and the wrong character’s image being used for Sanctifex Forden’s bio. These are minor essentially, but two mistakes in 11 pages is a bit concerning.

Grammatical errors galore!
The guide is well-presented, and the paper quality matches other Future Press releases, but that’s where the positives end. The amount of grammatical errors is shocking-I’ve counted 12 so far, and I’m only halfway through. On top of that, some character portraits are completely wrong. This is incredibly disappointing, especially from Future Press, a publisher known for high standards. It feels like whoever was responsible for proofreading was either rushing or barely paying attention. This level of sloppiness is unacceptable for something that is so expensive.
