My balcony sliding door has sunk slightly over time and no longer catches the top track properly. Because of that, the door has actually fallen inward twice, which obviously made me uneasy about security, among other things. While I decide whether to repair or fully replace the door, I bought this security bar as a temporary and economical solution, and it has been perfect for that. It installs in seconds and feels very sturdy once it’s in place. Now the door physically cannot fall inward, which gives me peace of mind when I’m home and especially when I’m away. It has also been extremely windy the past few days, and honestly if I hadn’t had this bar in place I probably would have been in panic mode worrying about the door blowing open or shifting again. I also like that it’s adjustable and doesn’t require any drilling or permanent installation. It comes with a second bar that can be placed in the track for added security to prevent the door from sliding open, which I haven’t needed to use yet. Overall, it’s economical, simple, adjustable, and easy to use. If you have a sliding door that doesn’t feel secure or has alignment issues like mine, this is a very simple and effective fix. This security bar quite literally stopped someone from breaking into my apartment this morning. Today, someone tried to force their way in while I was inside, and it was this bar that kept the door shut. I’m incredibly grateful I trusted my instincts and had this in place, because I don’t even want to imagine what could have happened otherwise. This is sturdy and reliable. Unfortunately someone tried kicking in the door. Mu latch lock above doornob broke but this held the door shut for me👏🏻

They were easy to assemble and easy to use. I bought middle of the road and I'm not disappointed at all. Will buy more when I move as the buyer of my current home has requested there.

My daughter and I stayed in a motel in a sketchy part of town for a concert she wanted to attend and I have to honestly say that I was felt secure and safe with this in place. I was able to easily adjust it to the right height and tap it in place which meant it did not slide at all. I did struggle placing the end pieces on the posts especially the one for the floor, they did not slide together very far but once placed they stayed. The ability to adjust the length is vast and will fit any door we put it against. My daughter is going to use it at her house when she is home alone during the times she isn't traveling. The peace of mind this gives is worth every penny and I won't be without one now.

Works great for the slider, but not as great for the front door. I do not have confidence with it at the front door.
