So this shade is great. I love the way it looks on me as I have trouble finding shades that look good and neutral on me (I’m like a caramel brown kinda skin tone). I don’t like things too bright so this is perfect for me personally.I have noticed it does protect my lips well. (I live in Arizona where it gets up to 115+ degrees Fahrenheit with UV indexes up to 12 which is extreme. It’s also super dryyyy and my skin is super opposed to the dryness. My lips usually get dark and dry but these have been pretty good at preventing that.TextureIt does have that like… cheap lipstick from those make up kits from when you were little type of texture to it. (I think that’s what people are trying to say when they say it is sandy). So yeah don't expect like burts bees or chapstick texture. This is like… thats the best I can describe it. It doesn't bother me to be honest as I do dab my lips after application and it doesn't feel grainy or anything after that to me.HydrationIt is nice and hydrating, but i like to lather my lips in chapstick and because this has color it definitely layers the color. It’s also very like moist and oily like chapstick… So I just dab a paper towel and it’s perfect as I usually prefer matte stuff but this is actually really nice. I dont typically like things that shine but this is just like a great in between and I know it’s protecting my lips so it’s just a plus!ColorLove the color! Might go for a darker or more brownish color next time as I do like to keep my lips as neutral as possible and I like things a bit darker than me. This one is like rustic orange mixed with a hint of pinkish/maroon so it makes you look lively but also more on the neutral brown area idk.Worth a shot buying it tbh. I love it! It’s a nice pop of color and chapstick in one with SPF! Just don’t leave it in the sun or anything! I keep mine in my pockets and it definitely looks at me like it's threatening to melt, but it hasn't yet so I can’t speak on that really.FlavorI didnt notice a flavor but my tastebuds are also super off since the pandemic sooooo I’m not sure. This doesn’t taste like anything to me.SmellThis has convinced me to buy the actual bottle sunscreen because I love that coconut cologne type of smell!! Idk how to describe it but it smells sooooo good to me. If I had it in a perfume form I would wear this! Smells so natural but like sweet coconut.Hope this helped yall!!

It has the signature SunBum smell and taste that I love and looks great. It is perfect for adding color and glow to both my lips and cheeks with minimal makeup look. I wear daily to the office, on date nights, and to the beach/pool as it also has spf and protects my skin. I have noticed that it has an interesting texture, it kind of pills on the top layer in the tube. But once it is applied I have not had an issue with the texture.

I got the Nude Beach color and I really like it! The scent/flavor is nice, very "summery". It's a bit like pina colada (pineapple and coconut, with some vanilla) I only docked one star for flavor because a few minutes after applying it does taste a bit like sunscreen, but again, I like it because it's very summery and beachy tasting. I really like the color! Nude Beach turned out to be the perfect pink/orange blend for me. The texture is a bit gritty while applying, like other reviewers have mentioned, but it does smooth out on the lips and I feel like it lasts (similar to chapstick, need to reapply occasionally) but overall provides good protection from the sun for outdoor activities. I would order again!

Bummer!!!! I ordered three different colors of these and it definitely has a pina colada flavor mixed with sunscreen flavor.The sunscreen flavor is super strong.I opened Bonfire and it’s a pretty sheer color that looks neutral and shiney on my lips.Felt good and not sticky.Due to the flavor, I will be sending the two unopened lip balms back.

color looks great if your lips under it aren't heavily chapped, if they are, it dries not so attractive. Got it originally for the SPF. Another review said it was thicker than most slippery lip balms and this is true, and why I am giving it 5 stars. The color and moisture it provides fades nicely, not lasting too long, but I don't mind reapplying. Its very pretty and looks natural. The nude beach color on lips and on cheekbones adds a nice sun kissed look with my mixed skin complexion. It has a familiar 90's make up smell that I cant put my finger on but summons nice feelings I guess. The smell is pretty sweet and strong, (which I usually am against) but in my opinion, is not a deal breaker because of how much I love the effects of this lip balm. It IS grainy in the tube like others are saying but it does not transfer to your lips. I want to try more colors! Hope it continues to work for me, i've been using it for about 2 weeks :)

Love the color but a little gritty feeling

Sunblock and a nice natural tint. Goes on smooth just not used to the cap it isn’t like the regular sun bum chapstick so the first one I smashed and it was ruined and these are not cheap so make sure when you put cap back on do not place it back on like a normal chapstick cap. You have to make sure you twist very gently and make sure the chapstick isn’t raised up much or you will ruin entire thing. Just be gentle with the tinted one it doesn’t come with a package to say and normally who needs direction to a chapstick lol just letting anyone know to twist gently to right or left on and same thing to get back on so you have it until you run out. The bonfire tint one and the nude beach awesome natural but pretty colors I actually love them all and will be buying a three pack I’m obsessed with all of them and some of these colors are very hard to find especially in summer and I had to buy the last few in a Newport fancy beach shop for twice the price but wanted them so bad lol. I’m a huge sun bum fan and these are just a win win. From the shampoo and detangler to the chapsticks and sunblock and sunblock face sticks it’s worth the price
