Fixed burned out indicator, 99 bulbs left
These are nice neon bulbs. You once bought two in a pack at Radio Shack for a buck and a half. Now you get 100 for 10x that price from Amazon with 2-day shipping. One order and you'll likely never run out again. I used one bulb to fix a burned out indicator in a really nice, all-metal power strip that also came from Radio Shack a few decades ago. The neon bulb in the indicator was blackened and burned out. The neon likely escaped over the decades. It's hard to get a new indicator in this old form factor, so repairing the indicator was the option. I pried off the lens, pulled out the guts, snipped out the old neon bulb, and soldered in the new one. The original indicator used a 30K resistor, and this new bulb liked that value just fine.

They work fine.
Needed some for a project. Good.

Sophisticated and Versatile
Since these require a 82-100k resistor for line voltage, you may want to consider lamps with a resistor pre-attached. I went with these because of the price and flexibility to choose my own resistor values and they do not disappoint. They do not produce as much light as a high-intensity halogen, for instance, but they are intended for use as indicators, not illumination sources. Sometimes you want a nice warm glow, and these give a classy look to your project, akin to a nice vacuum tube.

Replaced the Neon lamps in my Richard Gray power company 1200S
Replaced the two LED lamps in my RGPC 1200 and these were the best option I could find for the replacements. They seem to be holding out well, going on about 3 months now and no fading with 100% run time.

Produces light.
Lamps produce light when energized. Replaces shattered neon light in my frequency generator. Don't know what to do with the other 99 lamps though.

Just what I expected
These work perfect.

Not very bright
I think the product photo is misleading because they aren’t very bright at all. I’m using a 100k resistor but also tried lower values and it didn’t get much brighter. There are a lot of bulbs in the package which is nice, but I wish they were a bit brighter.
