Decent NVR for the price, includes a web UI too
Got this for around 4.6k after discounts, at this price its a decent device. Many reviews and other documentation seem to imply that there is no web interface, but there is a web based interface available.I received the v2 hardware revision as expected which seem to support cameras upto 8 MP and more simultaneous viewing. I have ordered few VIGI IP cams which I'm yet to receive but I had a no-brand PTZ IP cam lying around, was able to add that cam to the NVR and it worked great. Even the PTZ functions worked as well.I haven't tried the desktop app, but the mobile app is simple and decent enough. Web interface also work decently, but there is certainly improvements that's necessary. Some PTZ functions do not work over the web UI for example.

The night vision and picture quality, motion detection depends on the camera features. However the NVR is good and easy to install.

VIGI NVR1008H, Simply the Best One 👍
Tp-Link VIGI 8CH NVR is the Best in its class. Just Plug & Play. No complicated settings. VIGI IP Cameras get added automatically. It supports 10GB HDD. I added 8 Vigi cameras, all 4MP. The bandwidth 80Mbps easily supports 8 cameras of 4MP. It also supports ONVIF. You can add Third party cameras without any extra effort. Built quality of this NVR (VIGI NVR1008H) is premium. Fully Recommended 👍

Did not work with my CP Plus cameras
I bought this NVR on 1st November 2023 and till date (29th July 2024) i havent been able to stream my CCTV footage on this NVR. I am able to add the 8 CP Plus cameras that support ONVIF on this NVR but all of them keep on showing “Not Connected”. Meanwhile all of the cameras are able to stream video on Happytime ONVIF Client using my desktop.I have been in touch with TP Link support but there hasnt been any solution till date. Definitely waste of money
