From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this was a premium product. The build quality is excellent—solid, compact, and thoughtfully designed for portability. It folds down nicely, making it perfect to carry in a small bag or even a large pocket when traveling or shooting on the go.Setup was incredibly simple. Within minutes, I had my phone mounted and was navigating the intuitive controls with ease. The stabilization performance is top-notch—smooth, fluid, and incredibly responsive. Walking shots, panning, and even fast movements look professional and steady, with none of the jitter or shake I’ve experienced with cheaper gimbals. The ActiveTrack 7.0 technology works like a dream, locking onto subjects and tracking them accurately, even when they're moving quickly or partially obscured.One of the standout features is the built-in extension rod, which adds a lot of flexibility to how and where you shoot. I have had the 7th generation DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal, known as the 7P, and I can confidently say it's the most significant advancement in any generation of DJI gimbals I've experienced. The best part is that it allows you to enjoy most of the benefits of tracking without being restricted to DJI's app. DJI wisely chose to invest in a hardware solution for tracking, resulting in the impressive 7P.With the 7P, I can use other high-quality video recording apps on my iPhone, such as the Blackmagic Camera or Kino, while still taking full advantage of the gimbal’s features. Additionally, it integrates seamlessly with DJI's lineup of microphones, which has greatly simplified my rig setup. I no longer have to deal with a tangle of wires and other peripherals. This simplification is crucial; the more straightforward your rig is, the more likely you are to use it.Compared to the previous version, the 7P maintains all the functionality that made its predecessor great while being more compact. The stand is now built directly into the handle, eliminating one more part that could be lost.As a leader in gimbals, DJI has consistently delivered rock-solid stabilization, and you can purchase this product with confidence, knowing there’s no compromise in that aspect. Personally, I haven't experienced any issues with battery life, as I can leave the gimbal on for hours without problems. If you're considering this purchase, I don't think you'll regret it.

This is a big leap forwards from my Osmo Mobile 2. Smaller, lighter, more stable, better tracking, face tracking with the DJI OM Multifunction Module, built in tripod and great battery life. The only issue I had with it - probably operator error - was that I could not get iPhone timelapse video to work reliably. I will try it again in a more controlled environment and post an update.
