This thing works great for wok cooking. Did lots of research before buying and I'm glad I did. One of the problems we had with our stove was it couldn't get hot enough for proper wok cooking. This works great. I made the best fried rice I have ever made.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this wok burner! I have a flat bottomed wok that wasn’t getting hot enough on a flat induction cooktop so got this to try after seeing a YouTube video from a chef comparing it to another brand. My wok got very hot, very quick, and it seems to mimic heat up the lower side better than the flat induction . I’ve cooked several dishes now, and been very pleased with the improvement over the flat induction. I actually think this setup works better than my regular gas stove did. It’s not going to match up to outdoor gas burner or restaurant wok heat but that is not something I wanted to deal with. This plugs into a regular outlet and is really convenient. I am super happy with this and just ordered a round bottom wok to try on it.

Read the instructions, especially if you never used one of these before. It heats up nice, I haven’t cooked on it yet. Little noisy. I think it will be wonderful and fun to cook on.

It works. I use it every day. I had my own wok, so I’m glad I didn’t have to buy the wok that used to come with it.

Despite the description that clearly states that "the package includes a high-quality non-stick wok" (and the many reviews on this listing actually reviewing a wok) there is no wok included.The overall build quality seems okay.The rounded surface makes a positive difference in using a wok I already have (with no so flat bottom), as compared to a similar power flat portable induction plate I haveThe fan is loud, significantly louder than my flat device.There is no on/off rocker switch. On the "off" position (after pressing the "On/Off" button or the large round turn button) the display is still on (showing a bunch of lines). The device uses 0.6W (a bit much) in this stand-by state (so somewhat of an electricity vampire).The large round rotating button seems OK quality. The 4 small push-buttons remind me of similar buttons on other devices, where the (semi-flexible) plastic sheet covering them cracked after a year or so - not great. Touch-type buttons would have been better.The power level are not precise - on the 200W setting the device draws around 300W.The temperature settings seem even less precise, I am observing much higher temperatures than those selected.Luckily, the device can be started (turned "on" from stand-by) and stopped (turned "off" - to stand-by) and used (adjust power levels) using the large round/rotating knob. So no need to touch the other four flimsy buttons too often.Update: The listing seems to have been updated since I purchased this unit to say "Size: no wok"... Shady. Also shady: most reviews under this listing are for a wok (no induction unit), indicating a previous product listing (with positive reviews) has been updated/changed to a totally different product.

Have been looking for an Induction wok cooktop that got hot enough. This is the one. Gets woks and similar type cooking pots cast iron as well hot very quickly and maintains some serious heat. I am very happy. Money well spent.
