I got this as a gift for my partner. He ended up reading it along with his parents. He would recommend it.

When the police had sort of forbidden themselves from any operation in the Golden Temple, which, Gill says, is contrary to all laws of policing because to tackle illegal activities the police have a right to enter wherever those illegal activities are happening. Thus it was these circumstances which had turned Golden Temple into a safe sanctuary for terrorists. He broke back bone of the Khalistani Terrorism in Punjab, In the last days of terrorism, militants issued diktats that there should be no music shows, baraat at weddings should be restricted to 11 people only there should be no serving of liquor, no meat, etc. Mr Gill used to say to his men, "Terrorists ask for this, we will do the opposite." A night show was organised in Tarn Taran, the heartland of terrorism; liquor and meat was served, music was played at high volume till 4 am. Gill himself remained in the show till the end. It was to cheer up the public and build their trust, throughout these years people used to lock themselve in their houses after 5PM because of the terrorists.2002 As security advisor to Narendra Modi. But one must adopt the leadership qualities like KPS Gill.

Writer compare Gill to the Genereal Ulleyses of USA ,as he is responsible in saving USA from civil war likewise KPS Gill also do this to save Union of India.Fearless and strict police officer ,who fires Bullet for Bullet.Book is totally fill by the qualities and ways he deal Assam riots,Punjab Khalistan movement,Gujrat riots etc.Great book to read.

The product was in a good condition, packaging was intact, paper quality was nice.The book is an insight into life of one of the most important police officers of India. KPS Gill may be a controversial figure but this book presents story from his perspective. The situation of Northeast India during 1960s and 1970s was explosive. Similar was Punjab during 1980s. Gill had opportunity to alter the future of law and order in both these regions. He portrayed his integrity, righteousness and leadership abilities in extremely tough situations. He was embroiled in human rights violations controversy. The reader should read the book with open mind and be ready to listen to lesser known facts.The writing style is very fluid, it is simple English and many a times one might feel that incidents could have been described in a better way. But the author Rahul Chandan deserves appreciation for bringing Gill's story to present youth who ought to know about their leaders and country more.

Unfortunately, the book could have been presented in a much better manner by the author and does not justify the life of India’s arguably most decorated cop.On several occassions, it seems like the author was writing an answer to question paper. Vocab and syntax are poor.Giving 3 stars purely because of the personality himself, larger than life, the great KPS Gill.

One of the best book I've ever read multiple times. MR. Gill has shown an examplary leadership to the world in those brutal times. One of the few men worth following.
