I bought this as a pick-me-up during the colder winter days and for when I’m feeling a bit under the weather. The cream of chicken soup has a smooth, creamy texture and a comforting, familiar taste that’s easy to enjoy when you don’t want anything heavy. The chicken pieces are relatively small and there aren’t many of them, so it’s more about the flavour and texture than chunks of meat. It’s not especially filling on its own, but it works well with some toast. Overall, I’ll probably keep a few tins around for sick days or quick lunches when I want something warm without much effort.

Absolute bargain, less than £2 when I bought them. A dash of white pepper, pop in to the microwave and you're good to go. One or two of the tins had a slight dent but it didn't kill me or affect my soup supping experience.

I heard about Heinz Chicken soup from a Facebook page. I didn’t find it in any grocery store in the Midwest, but it is reviewed extensively from United Kingdom. The difference between this soup and the red/white label cream of chicken soup is in the texture. This is a thick, very velvety texture soup right out of the can that is not condensed, so no water needs to be added. It has less sodium in it compared to red/white label. Although it is plain in taste and has very little chicken, it is one that I will keep for tummy upsets. I like its simplicity, it’s delicious.
