I started losing hair rapidly when I entered menopause. I feared I would be bald! I lost half my thick, full hair! I asked my hairdresser if there was anything to help stop the loss and restore some of my hair volume and she recommended this Actiiv shampoo and conditioner for women. It is pricey and I was hesitant, thinking it would just be another snake oil sale. But I tried it, and even though it is expensive, you only use it twice per week, so it does last a long time. It cleans my hair very well. You have to leave it on a full 5 minutes before rinsing--follow those instructions. I lather up in the shower and then let it sit on my hair while I wash everything else. Rinse and follow up with the conditioner for one minute. I cannot believe how it has changed my hair loss! I was losing too many hairs to count with every shampoo, clogging my shower drain, and then losing more when combing out my wet hair. Hundreds of hairs daily! After three uses with Actiiv, I could count the number of hairs lost--always fewer than 15. I've been using this about three months now, and I am starting to see some baby hair regrowth at this point. I don't know if I will regain all my lost hair volume but I am super encouraged to see the loss stop and a little bit returning. My scalp feels great. No bad reactions. It will burn a little if you get any in your eyes, so be careful about that.

I feel ethically obligated to write a review for this shampoo. I've struggled with thin hair all my life. I lost TONS of hair in the shower and every time I ran my fingers through my hair it seemed to pull so many strands out of my head. A year ago, a hairdresser recommended this to me and kinda lowkey changed my life. I lose one or two strands in the shower now, and rarely does my hair shed throughout the day. This product is well, WELL worth the money. I have so much more confidence now. What a material difference this has made for me.

I'm a 45 year old woman who had dealt with thinning hair for 20 years. I've spent thousands on various products. Last summer, my doctor put me on Metformin which triggered a horrendous shed cycle. I finally tried this shampoo on the recommendation of a friend, I used as directed - shampoo every other day and let the shampoo sit for five minutes. By three washes, I was already slowing down on my shedding. Now 2 months on this regiment, I am only shedding a small, normal amount each shower.In full disclosure, I have also been on Finesteride for 2 years and it is entirely possible that just as I started using this shampoo that I also started to get away from the shed cycle the metformin triggered. But all I know is that even on Finesteride, I was shedding dramatically for months after I stopped using Metformin so I strongly suspect this shampoo played a major role.

I lost at lot of hair when I had COVID and when you have fine, thin hair it's VERY noticeable. My Nail Tech suggested this product. I've used it for a couple of months and I can see some regrowth. My hair feels thicker. A little pricey but hey! If it helps, it's worth it!

I’ve been using this product for a few years and it really does work for thickness, length and new growth BUT it really dries out the hair as other reviewers mentioned. So if you have dry hair this will likely not work for you but for oily hair (mine is VERY oily and I have to wash it daily) it works quite well.

I give it a 3 because at least my hair didn’t fall out. But it did not work for me. I have thinning hair at the front of my scalp after having a hysterectomy. I think it’s hormonal. I was recommended to use a product that carries a similar name to this one from my hair dresser. Apparently I bought the wrong one. I’ve used other products before that made my hair fall out which is devastating. This product didn’t do that but also did not promote growth sadly. I’m sure it might work for others.

I can’t say enough good about this product! Very thin hair, going through menopause, going gray, and truly just losing it! I saw a difference with this product in the first two weeks! I had people commenting on my hair after four weeks!! They first told me that they love the cut of my hair because it made my hair look full and then when I told him what I was doing, they had to find out more about it!!! Two of my friends bought it!!! I used this for literally 2 weeks. It was recommended to me by a hair stylist. At first I started noticing my hair thinning even more at the ends. By the end of the two weeks most of my hair had completely broken off about 2-3 inches from my scalp. Like cracked in half. I had to have all of my remaining hair cut off and wore wigs for about a year as my hair recovered from this. Hair loss has many possible causes, but a cheap shampoo on Amazon is most likely not going to fix it honey. If you’re looking at this because you’re experiencing hair loss, go see a doctor to figure out the right approach for you based on the cause of your hair fall.
