The wild birds LOVE them!
Hubby and I feed a lot of ground birds and songbirds in the front yard; Hubby is older and ill, and bird watching is a delight for him. The wild birds LOVE these larvae, as do many other animals: domestic poultry, hamsters, parrots, gerbils, pet rats, etc. Their nutritional value is great, and I do enjoy feeding something that helps them thrive. I saw this BIG box of larvae at a great price and ordered. The larvae come in a thick plastic bag with a zip top. They do have a very slight dusty odor, but it is not bad. I raised mealworms for reptiles when I was younger, and find the odor from these larvae not offensive at all. The wild birds eat the larvae first, then go for the other items offered! The cost was reasonable, the larvae are clean and have very few broken pieces. They are big and "juicy." LOL. Hubby and I are delighted with this brand, and recommend it without hesitation. A box of larvae would be a great gift for any bird lover.

The equilevant to ice cream for chickens!
Our chickens like mealworm more then BSFL. They eat these things like they are going out of style, some chickens leap over other chickens to get to the pile, its hysterical. After the frist time we started scatteringthe mealworks put to assure all chickens get some. Excellent product, well packged very little dust or broken meal worms. Overall great product. Your chickens will chase you around for them. We have 70+ chickens so for such a large flock these things can get expensive so if you have more then say 5 birds get a bigger box. Genuine good stuff here.

Top quality
There are only a few things one can say about mealworms, but here they are: these look great, quite large-sized mealworms, very little breakage that I can see so far (of course there's always some, but as long as the majority aren't, that's what's important), and they are packed carefully in a sealed clear bag which is inside a heavy duty box.The price is comparable to what I've seen for the same amount, although as I write this there is a 15% off coupon offered which would save a nice chunk.I don't have chickens, but I got these for my wild birds to supplement their feed because they seem very happy whenever I've given the mealworms. Especially the robins. This is definitely a recommend!

Great mealworms
I purchased this for my hermit crabs, but will probably use a lot as bird food too, because it will take my hermies too long to eat this many. The worms look great. They almost look alive, so they appear to be freshly freeze dried, which is great. I did find a few beetles in the mix, but that's fine, as birds will eat the beetles as well. (And these worms become beetles, so I suppose this should be expected.) Overall, this is a great amount of worms for the price.

This is the chicken's favorite treat.
The chickens absolutely love these. It is their favorite food. No matter how times we give them freeze dried mealworms as a treat, they always "talk up a storm" among themselves while feasting on them. Bentley, our rooster always calls the ladies over and likes to take credit like he found them. Let me tell you, all you hear is clucks galore and see all the chicken's backsides and tail feathers while sounding like they are giving the latest news at the chicken social club amongst themselves. They make short work of any insect or bug who happens to tread in their domain. They are free range and are train to come whenever called. Amazing how you can train animals using "goodies" to entice them. We don't even need to call them anymore, they seven see us and they come running. The only drawback is these are not very cost effective so we can't always give it to them, but that just makes it so much more exciting when they do get them. 5 stars and 15 clucks from Bentley and the ladies. This is their favorite treat.

Crunchy fun treat!
They come in a resealable ziplock style bag inside the box to help keep them fresh and clean. My birds and reptiles go absolutely wild for them! They're seemingly decent quality, mostly whole dried worms but the occasional broken chunks of them are present due to being dried. They're about an inch long, some slightly smaller. But the animals have no issue eating them! They don't stink and aren't as icky as live crawling ones in my opinion. Very happy with the product and cost per size of the package!

We feed a pair of blue birds that next in your yard
We've had a blue bird hide up for 4 years with no residents. This winter we feed meal worms to the local birds during an ice storm. We had so many finches and severable birds eating them that we continued to do so afterwards. A pair of blue birds stayed around and even nestling the hide we provided. These meal worms seem very fresh and they don't have a bad smell like some do. If you have indoor pets that eat meal worms, that's a very nice feature. Plus, they just seem more robust worms than some we've received. We definitely like this mealworms over others we've purchased locally and online.

Superior Quality
This was by far the best box of dried larvae I have ever gotten for my chickens. The quality was fantastic. Inside the box the larvae packed nicely inside a resealable bag. The bag reseals nicely. Typically, when I have ordered other brands there is a decent amount of crushed ones but this bag have very few. The price is good for what you get. I would highly recommend this brand and will be ordering more.
