This product, with the same manufacturing # and size, is sold at Amazon under three different names and prices. Why so? Any difference?

It could be that each product might be slightly different. they may do different thing? Alconox – Powdered Precision Cleaner: is a concentrated, anionic detergent for manual and ultrasonic cleaning. Where Tergazyme – Enzyme Active Powered Detergent: Concentrated, anionic detergent with protease enzyme for manual and ultrasonic cleaning.Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but hope it helps. Alconox makes a lot of different cleaners.

Has anyone tried cleaning carpet with it? Worked wonders in the lab so maybe it will in cleaning the carpet

Alconox makes other detergents that are low foaming- I would maybe look into Alcojet (# 1404) or Tergajet (#2204). Both are geared towards organic material (Dirt, oil, blood, etc) and are low foaming, but Tergajet is also Phosphate free.

Will Alconox remove baked on grease and charred carbon from metal?

I've used it in lab but what about using it to hand wash dishes? I'm not talking about soaking items overnight. If not this product, what then?

In my experience trying to reuse alconox from CPAP washing, yes! It can work shockingly well. Please don't make a habit of it though. This is a phosphate cleaner. It's bad to discharge too much of it to the environment, and if enough people start doing it, they might regulate it!
