Timex Standard High Quality....but, Oh well. The new one I bought, the Indiglo went out in 60 days.
The Quality was exactly the standard that timex set for the most affordable, most durable, most useful, most attractive watches in the industry. I've owned this one since 2022. I have to say it's all of the above WITH ONE EXCEPTION: The Indiglo never worked from the moment I took it out of the box. I didn't think anything of it. I thought it was another diluted standard brought on by the corporate enshitification so pominent in the world today. I WAS WRONG! For under 35$, who cares? It's 2025 and I'm buying another one. I put this thing through hell. I work on Industrial Refrigeration and Mechanical Infrastructure. I'm rough on everything I own and my hands and arms are exposed to 130 degree F Condesner relief temps regularly, 170 degree F Asphalt Equipment Pads (on which I stand for hours in the direct sunlight) in 115 degree F Ambient air temps all while keeping track of timing of sequences of operations, using My Timex as my number-one tool for keeping track of that kinda stuff. Diagnosis would not happen without it. Accuracy: Hmm. a little behind the iphone weekly or monthly; loses about 5 minutes a month? maybe less. Either way, when I was trying to set it to the current time the other day, I pulled the crown right out of the watch to try and set the time. I put it back in and committed to purchasing another one. The crown is still in there, the watch still is keeping time (more slowly) and I just can't update the time it has lost. So in a month or so from now, it will be too far behind the actual time to be useful for me. Very well worth the cost! UPDATE: two months after purchasing the new watch, the indiglo stopped working when I needed in my sleep last night. I have contacted timex. I'll update this review once I get a robo-response from them.

Great watch for the money for sure. ✔️
Great, simple, affordable field watch. I did just a little bit of research and snagged this one with a slight discount, but Amazon is already much cheaper than Kohls or Walmart from what I've seen. Tip: If you're trying to decide which Timex field watch you want, go look at them in person. The sizes vary wildly, and pictures don't really do well showing that. I love the size and look of this one. It keeps great time, wears thin and feels very comfortable. The band is a little bit weird, but I'm a little OCD. I can't complain for a watch at this price point, but I may upgrade to a different band at some point. The little band keepers that keep the band tucked are some sort of plastic and are a little too big, so the moveable one tends to slide around and that bugs me. It's really not a big deal. But for even another $5 or $10, I'd like to see Timex make this band just a little more refined. I still gave it 5 stars due it it's value and overall quality. I'd buy this one again without hesitation.

Loud but affordable
Very simple and elegant watch. Does its job and nothing more. I've used it for dress and for work, law enforcement, with no issue. The only reasons its not getting 5 stars: the strap is mediocre at best and it is VERY loud. The strap has two bands that contain the excess and they seem to barely be able to do their job. The last one wore out very quickly and barely holds onto the strap now after 6 months. As for the noise, I can hear the watch ticking from across the room. Sleeping with it on is very sub optimal. Overall, for the price it is an excellent watch and you are getting what you pay for.

Everyday Classic
This is a perfect everyday watch for me. I've been looking for a simple, classic style watch with a leather band that can be worn dressed up or down. The 40mm size is perfect for someone with smaller wrists in my opinion. The dial is easy to read and uses a 2016 battery which is readily available anywhere.

Nice every day watch.
Nice everyday watch. The indiglo feature works well in the dark. it only turns on if you press the crown, and turns off immediately when you let go. Good for a quick peek at the theater. The date window blends in with the military time labels if you care about that. '15' is missing to make room for the date window. This is not a loud watch, but not silent either. You can hear it if you put it up to your ear, but you don't hear it in a quiet room or on your dresser. In an absolutely silent room I can hear it if I put my hand on my chin and very very faintly if I'm sitting at a desk writing or typing. If you are in a room with *any* sort of noise, you won't hear it unless it's right up against your ear. The second hand kind of jerks cleanly instead of sweeping smoothly, but that's common in most quartz watches at this price point. I like the look of the tiny arrow at the end of the second hand. It feels sturdy and good quality without feeling bulky. It's not a thin watch, but definitely not bulky either. Movement made in the Philippines, strap from China, final assembly in the Philippines.

Clear numbers. Lightweight. Small strap
Purchased this watch as a simple daily inexpensive watch. I work at a lumber yard so being rugged was a must. The face is a little small for my big arms but it’s light weight and felt great. I wasn’t a big fan of the original strap so I upgraded to the one in the pictures. Made a world of a difference with the feel and comfort level. I would recommend this watch as a quality, daily watch. Maybe just replace the strap.

Wow, Timex has upped its game!
I wanted a field watch for everyday use with an easy to read numerated dial. I looked at field watches made by a few higher end brand watch companies & decided they were too expensive for everyday use. Then I found out about these Timex Expedition series watches & I was intrigued. I haven't owned a Timex watch since the 1970s. So I purchase this Timex Expedition watch at a bargain price to roll the dice. And I was very surprised by what I got. The watch case size is perfect, not too big & not too small. The matte gray gunmetal case finish looks nice & is not reflective. The crystal is mineral glass & not plastic. The dial face looks excellent with large & very readable 1 to 12 numbers with smaller 13 to 24 hours sub imposed behind the larger numbers. So the watch has 24 hr enumeration like a military watch. The watch hour & minute hands are sized nicely & very viewable. The second hand is an arrow shape painted yellow for added visibility. The quartz accuracy is spot on. The dial back glow lighting is very useful in bad light conditions. The green canvass strap is rugged & doesn't feel cheap. The straps field green color is spot on. This watch looks more expensive that it is. Timex did an excellent job with the design & construction of these Expedition watches. All things said, a great value for the dollar.

Still affordable for its nice features
Fits perfect and does not bulge above my 7.5” wrist, simple but pleasant dial that is super easy to read just by a quick glance. Nice meaty crown that’s easy to grab and turn. The backlit display is simply amazing. Seems to keep time well. Three negatives: lugs are 20mm; the strap that comes with it is cheap; the crown should be at the 4 o’clock position to prevent unwanted pushing on it and activating the backlight by bending my wrist. All in all, a good everyday watch with nice features that is still affordable.
