We got the whole family a pair of these. We went with whatever size each person would need in the sizing was accurate. This winter has been so much warmer! Very comfortable and not prickly wool. We are washing them with special wool detergent. I'll update this review of anything changes.

Excellent product and quality. Soft, warm and comfortable. My child is 6 years old and fits slightly big but he is tiny. I’m glad with this purchase.

I'm always skeptical when a seller claims 100 percent Merino wool, but this hat feels like the real deal. PLUS, mine came with a pair of bonus socks. True Merino is soft and supple, and that's exactly how this hat feels. It's hard to describe, but this has more of a thin sweater feel. That means it takes up less space while offering the same protection of a thicker material, with the added bonus of helping to vent moisture so you don't get that clammy feel of being sweaty and cold at the same time when you're active. The best feature of Merino is that it naturally antibacterial. If you end up buying this hat, take a close attention at the cleaning instructions that come in the package. Merino has a lot of benefits that will be destroyed if you wash or dry the material improperly. Cool wash with gentle detergent (preferably by hand) and always air dry. Merino also doesn't wear as well as a lot of fabrics, which is why it's usually in a blend. That shouldn't be an issue with a hat. As for the freebie socks, they're supposed to be Merino but are notably thicker and more scratchy. That suggests to me that they're a Merino blend. At the time I write this review, this hat is selling for $9.99, which is about the price of a pair of Merino socks, so this is a really good deal if the price is at or below the $10 mark. Five stars and two thumbs up from me!

The hat comes in a compact plastic bag, branded with the company name and inside you have the hat and a pleasant surprise, a pair of merino socks, honestly at $9.99 this hat is an exceptional deal, but adding a bonus pair of socks in the package makes it even better. Now, I have a lengthy experience with buying and wearing different garments, hats and scarfs made of merino wool and I can dell you that normally those a expensive, but in most cases it is totally worth it, merino is gentle, soft and lightweight at the same time keeps you very warm when needed without making you sweat or itch, like normal wool. Merinotech has a large catalog of different garments and accessories, in fact, they are providing one in the package so that you can see what else is available, in addition there is a hand wash instructions pamphlet to help you later when you need to wash it. This hat is 250g wool content which means it's a mid-weight and recommended for cold weather conditions and not for extreme freezing cold conditions, which in my case is perfect as the temperatures here rarely drop below freezing. The hat is extremely comfortable, I have multiple hats form variety of well known brands and this one outperforms all of them, it is so light that sometimes I forget that is on my head, it is very stretchy too, so it will accommodate any size head plus is deep so you can wear it with the hem folded or not, if you have a lot of hair, it will still cover it entirely and keep you warm. Overall, no negatives here, if you need a winter hat, just go ahead and buy this one, you won't regret it.
