Dead battery...great company
This battery seemed perfect when I got it. However when I bent one of the prongs out to use, it broke - I fixed it but still. After I go the battery in, it worked right away so I planned to give a five star review. BUT this battery will not charge. It's like I bought a regular battery and it simply died.==============Update: July 19, 2014Customer Service CONTACTED ME out of the blue asking about my order. I told them my problem with the battery and shortly thereafter I received a full refund! I didnt originally bother trying to get a refund or sending the battery back because of all the hassle those usually entail. It didnt seem worth it.I'm really amazed at HQRP-US. Despite the battery not working, they really came through. I would reorder with them any day of the week.

Stay away
I have a sonicare hx6950. The battery is the same physical size. It is stamped as having the same voltage, and amperage as the original as well. My original battery did not hold a charge anymore. After two brushings the toothbrush needed to be charged again, so I replaced the original battery with this one. After replacement the charge lights do not work anymore, the toothbrush lacks power. It vibrates but not enough to be able to clean your teeth with. I have let it sit on the charger for over 24hrs without interruption and no change in power. I then checked the voltage on the battery with my Fluke 87V and voltage was at 3.8v. Long story short this battery does not have enough of a discharge rate to work the toothbrush. Therefore do not buy. Try a battery from somewhere else.

Won't charge
It's was a bit of a challenge to get this battery into my HX6530 since it does not have the offset pins the original had. But I can get past that. Been soldering for over 55 years...The battery arrived with a decent level of charge. Less than a 20 minutes on a benchtop supply topped it off as evidenced by rapidly falling current flow. After that the toothbrush ran for weeks before flashing to indicate low battery. Good battery! That is when the trouble started. After 3 days on the charging base the battery still wasn't charged as evidenced by the LED still flashing and the pulses after brushing indicating low battery.Back to the bench! Desolder JP1 and check voltage, 10.9VDC which should do the job. Hook up the benchtop PS and set for 4.2VDC at 75MA. Battery charged in a bit over an hour. Solder JP1 back and take the brush home.Over the next several days when I was done brushing I'd set it on the base to see if charging would start. After about 4 days I got flashing. That was three days ago. After around 72 hours of being on the charging base the LED still flashes indicating that the charging is ineffective. Not good!My guess is these batteries have a different charge profile than my Sonicare brush provides. YMMV

Great replacement for many Phillips Sonocare models
Perfect oem replacement for the Phillips Sonocare toothbrush. Outperforms the original in form and function.Watch the you tube clips for opening your unit and be sure to look for signs of moisture and corrosion. Clean the main switch with alcohol and cotton swabs to flush deposits causing poor operation before re assembly. Also clean the very important top seal and mating surfaces to minimize future leaks.
