The brightness and quality are top-notch, perfect for enhancing the ambiance. If you have a 6-seater, I highly recommend getting at least 2 of the expansion kits, and I ran out of heat shrink, but it's definitely worth it and they are as described. Highly satisfied with this product!

The kit comes with a lot of pieces consisting of 4" LED strips, long and short extension wires, and splitters. While all of these pieces increase the install time, it provides many more options in how I was able to configure the lights. I also purchased the OPT7 Aura Expansion Pack along with this kit to install on my GEM e4. The control box has 4 connectors and I only used two connectors for my initial installation, so I have room for future expansion if I want to add more lights.The lights are bright and show very well at night. The LED strips are flexible and appear to be well built and have strong mounting tape on the back. I installed the light kit about 3 weeks ago and the mounting tape holding the LED strips to the frame is still holding strong. The remote controls work well with the control box and the kit as a whole has a wide range of colors. My daughter likes the mode that rotates through all of the colors with a fading transition.The wire connectors for the extension cables and LED strips are not waterproof, so it's important to use the sections of heat shrink tubing included in the kit to seal the connections. The heat shrink tubing is lined with adhesive and difficult to remove after it has been heated, so you'll want to make sure you don't need to make changes to your configuration after the heat shrink is installed.My first step when installing the kit was to lay out the pieces and connect them together to ensure everything fit according to my plans. When connecting the pieces together, it's also a good idea to slide a section of heat shrink tubing over one side. While keeping the pieces connected, I cleaned the areas I planned to attach the LED strips with rubbing alcohol. After the pieces with adhesive tape were installed, I slid the sections of heat shrink tubing over the connectors, used a heat gun with a heat shrink tubing attachment to seal the connections.For the control box, you'll need to make sure you have a 12v power source. My GEM e4 has a 72 volt system, but luckily has a 12 volt terminal behind the dash that I could connect to. Otherwise, I would need to use a step-down transformer. After installing the control box behind the dash near the 12 volt terminal, I ran a set of the 48" extension wires from each row of LED lights to the control box. The lights came on and operated perfectly during the first test. Overall, this kit is a great value and I am very happy with it.

I've installed just about every LED light kit made on a golf cart. (I own a cart shop) This kit could be so good with just a few minimal tweaks. The first, and chief complaint is the keychain remote doesn't control half the functions. You have to use the larger remote that will undoubtedly get lost if kept in the cart. Second, the cables. This is the dumbest cable setup I have ever seen. They send you a boatload of small cables to connect to each other, and only two longer cables. Granted you can add more and more lights to a single run, but there are far more efficient ways to do the cabling. The adhesive lined heat shrink to cover the connections is to small and leave both ends open to water intrusion which will mean corrosion in the future at some point. And finally the two sided tape. This tends to be the bane of all kits that use this method of installation. As soon as I was installing the first thing I noticed was that the tape was coming off the light side immediately. This is the side installed by the factory and should not be coming off. Other than those, it was actually a pretty good little kit if not just a bit overpriced. I say having installed kits from $15-$250 over the years. This kit doesn't cost much to make given the very small LED strips. It if was about $40 it would be a far better value. Part of that could be fixed by not using 20 short cables. Once installed it looks nice, has a good glow and you can turn the light up and or down based on how bright you want it. Again, having to use the larger remote is a bit of a pain, but if you set it where you want it you can from then on just use the A button on the key fob to turn it on and off. I'd buy it again, but if they improved those little things I'd stock it.

First off i would like to say how beautiful these lights are, they add a nice look to my dads golf cart and was an awesome birthday gift for him. They function so easily and would buy over and over again. My dad while installing the lights noticed there was a pod not functioning he called customer service and spoke to a fantastic customer service rep by Nancy P. when one LED light pod was defective and they were more then willing to help out and send a replacement!
