Effective and Affordable
I rpurchased the Cable Matters 2-Pack Premium XLR to XLR Microphone Cables (1.8m) for my audio setup, which includes a Shure microphone, a Cloudlifter, and a Roland VR. My primary goal was to find a reliable connection that wouldn't break the bank, and I'm happy to report that these cables have meet my expectations. Firstly, the build quality of these XLR cables is really goof. They have a thick coating that not only gives them a robust feel but also suggests they'll be durable in the long run. This aspect is crucial for anyone who regularly uses and moves their audio equipment. I dont move mine. Mine is set up in my office. So i dont know how well they would take constantly moving them , which is common for musitians. In terms of performance, these cables work like a charm. The audio transmission is clear, and there's no noticeable loss in sound quality, which is essential for both recording and live setups. The affordability of these cables is a significant plus. Finding high-quality audio cables at a reasonable price can be hard, but these hit the sweet spot of cost-effectiveness and performance. However, there is one concern that I have. I'm not entirely sure if the thickness of these cables is sufficient to prevent interference from my cell phone. This is a common issue with many cables, where electronic devices in close proximity can cause unwanted noise. To mitigate this, I keep my phone away from the cables, which seems to help. I dont know what other devices could cause interference. But the solution is simple just keep your phone 2 feet away. For those considering these cables, it might be worth noting this issue, especially if you plan to use them in a setting with numerous electronic devices around. While other, more expensive cables might offer better shielding, these Cable Matters XLR cables are a great choice if you're looking for a balance between quality and affordability. Overall I would definitely recommend the Cable Matters 2-Pack Premium XLR to XLR Microphone Cables. .

Rock-Solid XLR Cables for Our Podcast Setup
We use the Cable Matters 2-Pack Premium XLR to XLR Cables (10ft) for our Sake & Hot Tubs podcast, and they’ve been fantastic. -Clean, consistent audio with no hum or noise -Connects securely to our mics and interface. No loose or wobbly ends -10ft length is perfect for a flexible studio setup without excess cable mess - Feels durable and well-made, not cheap or flimsy - Nice bonus that it comes as a 2-pack. Perfect, Affordable, Pair of XLR Cables.
I needed XLR cables to connect my subwoofer to my PA speakers and this worked flawlessly. Cable quality seems pretty good with flex and feels premium. It does not feel like a cheap 99 cent cable. Easy plug for the Male connector and the Female connector has a tight secure lock. I love the fact they come in a pair in the event I would need another cable in the future. The 6ft length is great for adjusting the PA to any location from the Sub.

Perfect for my vintage amplifier & Shure mic!
This works perfectly with my vintage RadioShack MPS-31 amplifier (made in 1994) and an old Shure mic made in the early 2000's. I'm really impressed by the heft, solid feel, and craftmanship of this cable. This isn't one of those thin, fragile cords that so many companies are selling nowadays. Anyway, as a Cable Matters customer since 7 years ago, I'm not surprised by the quality. Every single item I've ever bought from them is long-lasting and does exactly what it promises. By the way, I bought an adapter on amazon (XLR Female to 1/4 inch TS Mono Male Plug Cable Adapter) to connect my cable to the old amp and mic, and this XLR cable works beautifully with both the adapter and the sound equipment. It's easy to use, no fuss: you just plug in and go. Quality product, highly recommend!

Good cable and finally in 35" length
These are still new to me but as a first impression they work well and seem very well made. The best feature and its fairly unique and the reason I picked these is they offer a 35" size. I'm finding that 25' seems to be universally just 1 to 5 foot too short at least half the time on a small stage. The 25" usually are not laying on the ground all the way from the mixer to the mic stand causing tripping, knocked over stands and damaged cords. 50' are always leaving a big pile of wire casing a tangle mess, still a tripping hazard and taking more time to pack up plus may cause signal loss. The cables jackets are quite thick heavy and durable feeling. I checked a few of the solder joints and they looked well connected.. The ends are very tight fitting into my Mics and sound equipment with good strain relief. I agree that the wire is not 16ga. Looks more 22ga to me too. But that is typical for a good mic cable. The heaviness of the jacket seems to let them lie flatter on the floor. Assuming you dont wind them up in a tiny ball like it comes from the factory. Do yourself a favor and straighten them out and uncurl them. Then reloop in a big easy 16 to 20 " loop with a velcro or twist tie. I'll try to update as longevity will be the true test.

Using in a non-traditional way as xlr plugs are also used in many other applications. Using mine to "reveal" or make accessible the charging port on my powered wheelchair. Enables me to plug in my charger without having to grub for the charging port.
