I got this carrier hoping to use it for my Timneh African Grey. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure his beak could get through the sides and/or zippers in about 5 minutes. I would never expect a soft carrier to be completely beak proof, but I have other soft sided carriers that are made of somewhat thicker material. With him the zipper quality doesn't matter too much, since he can quickly and easily figure out how to destroy even the most industrial zipper, but this one would be easier than most. My caique, on the other hand, does not usually try to escape from soft carriers and it's perfect for him.As for size, my grey fits in it pretty well. As Timneh greys are smaller than Congo greys, I'm not sure a Congo grey or similar sized bird would be all that comfortable in it. The perch is also pretty low. I fixed that pretty easily by adding a standing T-shaped perch and wiring it to/through the grommets. There are no food dishes included, but again an easy enough fix by utilizing the grommets. I love the grate and pan on the bottom. This is the first soft carrier I've had where my birds aren't walking through their poop and then getting it all over my hand when I get them out. I like that two of the sides have solid, clear plastic. It keeps them a bit warmer when there's wind, but there's still enough mesh to allow the carrier to breathe and stay cool on hot days.It was very easy to set this carrier up. I don't think it came with any instructions, but it didn't really need to. It's super lightweight and easy to carry around with you. If you take it in the car it would be a good idea to secure it with a seatbelt or something, since it's so light it may fly off the seat if you hit a bump or stop quickly. The shoulder strap is a little awkward but serviceable. My caique has already happily spent several hours in this carrier, and I expect he'll spend many more in it.

This is a nice large Portable Carrier for my Cockatiel. You could definitely have a larger bird in this, or even multiple birds. It’s very nice and roomy with a nice large clear window on the back and a clear zipper window on the front. Plenty of ventilation on either side plus, a couple of pockets for your birds food, treats and toys. It comes with a nice stainless tray for droppings and also, a grate to go over the tray so the birds don’t have to walk on their mess. 4 holes are available for perches, on the Front and back plus a wooden stand perch. It has a carry handle as well as a padded shoulder strap. The canvas looks and feels very durable and I’m sure my Cockatiel will feel very comfortable in this. Love the purple color and so does Tweety! I highly recommend!

This is a nice carrier, it works nicely for my bearded dragons. The carrier is nice to have when transporting to the vet, there is plenty of room for them to turn around and get comfortable for a short time. There is plenty of ventilation for them to not overheat. The carrier was easy to unfold and use, easy to set up and put back down when finished. The price point is a little higher than a lot of some similar though.

This cage works well for a trip to the vet or to someone else's house. It roomy enough for our Quaker parrots. It seems about right for small to medium-sized birds...but I am not sure about using it for larger birds. It is well-constructed with the metal bottom that fits inside on top of the canvas bottom. The perch is also easy to install and use. The cage has a sturdy carrying handle and a shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry. The zipper on the end works well.

I like the look of this bird carrier and that you can hold it by the handle or use it as a shoulder strap carrier. I was also excited to discover that it had a bottom metal pan along with a grilled like top add to the metal pan to keep the bird from getting into it's poop if it got down off the perch. It was easy to figure out how to put it together and folds up flat to take up little space. However, the problem with this is that the stitching of the zippered areas kind of turns making it difficult to close the zippers to put it together. Also, I don't know if it was the one I got or it would be like this with all of them, but the pan in the bottom which offers structure strength to the carrier does not stay put. If you set the carrier down it will move and pop up and the whole structure of the carrier is lost and this would scare my bird and make me worry. Even putting it into a car seat for transport it would collapse into itself. I fixed this issue by adding a hard, thick cardboard piece and velcroed it into the bottom which helped the structure and then put velcro onto the bottom of the pan to connnect it to the cardboard. I made it work, but the structure should not require a fix. I would have been happier with it if it had been a safe carrier for my bird right out of the package.

I really like this carrier alot. It has mesh on both sides for air. The other sides are zippered for easy access. The perch and metal tray will help keep it clean. I didn't know if my African Grey would fit in it but he does. I have a bubble back pack for him but this one is great for summer outings, which he loves. Its light weight and easy to carry. The view area is large. It's pretty sturdy. I just hope he won't chew it up. He's a chewer so I'll put some paper and a toy in it. Maybe a smaller bird won't chew. All in all this is what I wanted for him. I recommend this.

This is a very well thought out bird carrier! It has a tray and a perch. You just unscrew the ends of the perch to install it where you want in the grommet holes. This materials and zippers are good quality and function well.The metal tray has a grate cover and is perfect for parrots. Although this would not fit a macaw it would fit most parrots and bantam chickens.The handle is padded and comes with an adjustable removable strap with a padded area for comfort.The color is great! There are pockets on be end and the other is just a mesh. The clear sides are made of a very clear good quality plastic.This is a cute carrier and stylish.The price is great for all that you get!
