The Complete Book of Silk Painting

This is an excellent book for those seeking lots of background information on silk painting. Its usefulness is largely for the wide range of information it contains for beginners and practitioners of silk painting as well. The authors are very knowledgable. It is an excellent and thorough presentation on the endless possibilities offered to the artist who paints on silk and other fabrics. I will keep going back to it for the tips it contains.

Had the opportunity to take a silk painting class with Ms. Tuckman. She is an awesome instructor and I love the book!

It did not have the type of designs I was looking for. They were very complicated. It did have many techniques, though .

The book was originally published in 1992 so it is out of date. Nothing I read told me this book was so old. I am sure it was a good book in 1992.

GREAT, informative reference book... I added so much to my existing knowledge and will keep it close to refer to often!

I bought this as a gift for my sister who was interested in silk painting. She is delighted with it and says it is beautifully illustrated, clear and comprehensive. She has been inspired to try out some projects.
