I inherited many of my Dads old Zippo lighters and although I don’t smoke, I decided to restore them to their former glory. That meant that I had to find a non-piezo-electric ignition source, aka an old fashion flint. As with most shopping endeavors, I immediately came to Amazon, did a little research and ended up with this great little container of flints. In general, their job is to make sparks and that they most certainly do. They are easily installed and unlike some flints (according to my dad’s coaching many years in the past, some flints wear more quickly than others), they seem very durable. I know I’ve test struck a couple of these flints no less than 500 times and they appear no worse for wear after 500 strikes as they did with 10. I’m still buffing and polishing the lighter cases proper but they are coming along. I’ll update this review with some pictures of a finished product that incorporates these little “makers of spark”

Contrary to the reviews I read, these flints turned out to be one-strike, unlike the genuine Zippo flints I've always used. In addition, there's no annoying fiddling with those little dispensers that don't work half the time or fling the flint somewhere you can't find it. Just take the bag these come in and dump it into a Ziploc bag, and you're all set. Major cost savings over Zippo flints as well. Fit perfectly into my genuine Zippo lighter. I'll be ordering these again someday when that big bag runs out.

Works great in my 5 year old Zippo lighter Wish it was available years ago, I would have saved a lot of money on flints.

I bought these because of the quantity of the flints for the money! They do fit into my Zippo lighter but when you set them beside of my Zippo flints, these flints are thinner in diameter! This means they'll wear out quicker than my Zippo flints, size does matter. But if this isn't an issue for you then buy accordingly to your needs.

They work, I put them in Cricket lighters.

Goede vervanging voor de originele Zippo vuursteentjes. Ze zijn misschien ietsjes sneller op dan die van Zippo, vandaar de ster aftrek, maar met 100 steentjes voor die prijs..........
