Unflavored is a lie. SIGNIFICANTLY changed the taste of beverages. Now I’m stuck with six cans of garbage my wife won’t drink.

My son (16 months) has been underweight and we have struggled to adjust his diet to get him the calories he needs to have positive gains. We tried other pre-made hi calorie drinks recommended/prescribed by our GI and Pediatrician; however, they all made my son sick. This product seems to do the job and mixes well with his milk, yogurt, or any other pureed foods. For those struggling with kids and weight gain, don't lose hope. Our son went from below the 5th percentile to now into the 16th. This may not seem like much to some, but trust me it makes a huge difference to see that something is making a difference.

You've got to be careful, there is a tipping point where it goes from "no flavor" to a sweet taste. We add it to my son's water (the only liquid he will drink). If you can find the balance, you generally can get good results, even when adding it to water. We only get about 40-50 calories for 6 oz of water, compared to milk at 20 cal/oz, but it is better than nothing.

My daughter has Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and we're told to supplement this with her drink to help with putting on weight and it seems to have worked pretty well for her. I would recommend is my only suggestion if you need these for a long term. With the 6 pack you end up getting a free one for the the price of 5 when the price is right.

This is the cheapest way to buy duocal. My son has failure to thrive and doesn't eat. He went from the 2nd percentile to the 25th percentile when we started using this. I found that it mixes better than butter or olive oil. Sometimes it clumps a little, but he doesn't notice. we use 6 scoops a day now that he is up to the 25th percentile for weight.
