Baby Loves Science Board Boxed Set

Approachable and engaging, fun for parents and babies
This set includes the following Baby Loves books:-Gravity-Coding-Thermodynamics-Aerospace EngineeringI won't review each one separately because there are already a lot of reviews on these individual books' listings. We bought this set for our 9 month old after we fell in love with Baby Loves Quantum Physics (not included in this set). Even though it's early for baby to understand these concepts, the author does a great job of making them approachable for young children, and the illustrator does a wonderful job of making the books colorful and entertaining. I love that each book has babies in it - not enough children's books do. My little guy loves looking at the babies and pointing to them. His favorite in this set is Gravity. His least favorite (at least at this age!) is Coding. I was a little disappointed because I work in IT :), but it's more because it's got a little harder words and concepts to break down than the other topics. The great news is that these books can be read for a few years. I love that these provide a foundation for STEM lifelong learning. This set also includes a paper ABC poster. Most of the words are used in the books in some way so your little one will find them familiar. It's maybe 12x12 so it's not huge, but you could laminate it and/or throw it on the wall.My husband has a Physics Ed degree and is a high school science teacher, and he absolutely loves these books too. He wants to take the Thermodynamics one into his class to show his students that are struggling!Overall we love these books and this is a great set to help your baby start learning some complex concepts.

Great science baby books
These are great books about different scientific and engineering topics that you can read to your baby or toddler to help them understand larger concepts. Hell, they even help explain some things for me! One note - the books are short but they sure are educational!

Great box set and a perfect introduction into the baby loves book series.
We love the baby loves book series. Complex scientific concepts broken down in simple language and ideas, diverse characters. Absolutely adorable and our baby really likes it.I've been debating quite a bit which ones of the books to buy and was sceptical about this box set since it includes coding - in the single review for the book, there were quite a view reviewers saying how that book was a bit too complex or not as nice as the other books from the series. But then the box set was on sale, so I got it and I'm so glad I did. We like all 4 books and our little one especially likes the coding one (it has a toy train in the story, that might be why).Very sturdy good quality books and box set. The little alphabet periodic elements poster is a nice additional little touch and we definitely plan to hang it in our daughter's room when she is a bit older. Highly recommend.

Loved by Kids and Parents Alike
I've bought this book set nearly a dozen times, often as a 1st birthday gift for friends' kids. I've never received higher praise for a kid's gift than I do with this book set. Parents tell me that it's fun to read, and the children absolutely love it. My eldest niece has recited pages to me from memory, she's read it so many times. My youngest niece told her daycare teacher that it's her favorite book.I've never had to read a book over and over to a kid, but from everything I've heard from friends, this would be the one I want when I do!

Gravity+experiments = intentional destruction
I love Ruth Spiro's take on baby science. Looking up with other than for illustrations was also a smart move.Thermodynamics is a bit incorrect because geothermal life exists. We experimented with gravity by dropping the book on the floor. I don't recommend this because now my kids use gravity as an excuse for clumsiness or intentional destruction.

Excellent introductory science books for toddlers!
We love reading these stories! My son literally says "Gravity is at the playground" when we go to the playground based on one of these stories. Unfortunately also he sometimes drops a noodle on the floor and says "gravity" based on the book but, whatcha gonna do... I highly recommend these! The pictures are wonderful and the author does a great job of explaining scientific concepts to children.

defected book. disappointed.
the book on gravity is defected. First 2 pages are printed up side down and disconnected from the cover page. bought this for my daughter a birthday and do not have time to return it and get a new copy. didn't expect such quality at this price. disappointed.

Good for forming abstract concepts in young minds
The media could not be loaded. My toddler who is not three yet, had this book for literally a day and she got the idea of mass and gravity. She knew some of the things like planets from before but this simple book helped me to grow her understanding further. She got the idea that 'mass' is somehting heavy that's different to 'volume'. She gets that grativy is a force as she knows that a force is a 'push/pull/squeeze/twist' and this is the right pedagogical way to teach gravity. A lot of older kids don't visualise gravity this way. I think the ideas presented in the series can be taken into conversation outside the book. This is why I am posting the video! Needless to say, she loved the illustrations and making 'slurrrrp' sounds! (I am a science teacher so I may be getting carried away....!)
