The Books of Earthsea: The Complete Illustrated Edition (Earthsea Cycle)

The box was trashed. When I opened it there was no bubble wrap or any protection other than crumpled papers on one side. I'm surprised that the book was fine.There are glue residue on some of the pages and a bit of misalignment in the binding but its ok. :)

Great book, the condition was supposed to be "like new" But it's very clearly quite worn library book....but readable nonetheless.

I was looking really forward to read the stories again after decades. However, the fun was diminished by the following: Some pages were printed with two texts on top of each other, which made them unreadable. On one page, the first illustration was printed over the text.

This is a book of all the Tales of Earthsea.I love it.I has the stories along with most excellent illustrations!

This volume is a beautiful way to indulge in Earthsea. It’s well made on nice paper and comes with a place marker. Commentary by Le Guin makes the journey extra special.

I only bought this book because it was on sale and was cheaper than getting the first three books in the series by themselves, but I'm glad I did. It is a beautiful book. The illustrations are worth it. However, it is very, very, very heavy. It's not a book that I would (or could) take anywhere. It does make me feel very important though, owning such a large book. I'm excited to take it to a coffee shop one day and make everyone else jealous.As far as the stories themselves, I'm only halfway through the first book, so I can't tell you much. I like her writing style though. The narrative has a historical bent to it (the narrator is outside the story, looking back long after the events have happened - as far as I can tell now) that I'm not used to, coming from listening to Brandon Sanderson, but I'm enjoying it. The magic system is also really interesting and I'm looking forward to getting more and more immersed in it.

This book will keep you out of trouble for a long time. Great stories which I somehow missed in my youth.The book itself is a treasure you will want to keep in the family library.

I'd heard these books hyped up quite a bit in various forums and lists of best fantasy books. So my expectations were too high. It is decently written fairly easy to read and follow, but doesn't dive deep into the characters or the world or give you the same sense of completeness that you feel from Harry Potter or from Lord of the rings. Not bad, just not as good as I thought it would be. As for the book itself, it is bound well and looks great on my bookshelf.
