Great book for little writers
My elementary-aged kiddo recently got into writing her own stories and we were looking for resources that may help her grow her interest. This book is a great reference point for telling your story and finding a story in the mundane. It's easily understood and perfect for kids. This is a great gift for any budding little artist in any form.

We love Raina!!
My daughter just loves Raina's books. I have to admit that I do as well. I'm not sure my daughter will end up writing a story, but I can say that she read this in it's entirety in one day. We had ran out of Raina's books and Sisters had been read so much that it fell apart. We saw this and she thought it was the new book we're waiting for. I explained that 'Share your Smile' is a guide to telling your own story and that Raina would be telling the reader different ways to communicate what they're trying to express on paper. She said she wanted it anyway so she could feel closer to how Raina's books make her feel. I had to agree. Ms. Telgemeier is a warm hug on a cold wet afternoon. Reading her books is the hot chocolate that cozies you up on that cold wet afternoon. Patiently waiting for Guts to be available.

My daughter loved it
My 7 year old is transitioning into being an independent reader. This series of books is the first series of books I've seen her devour. This particular book is about kids writing their own books, which didn't strike as much of a chord with her as the others in the series, but she still liked it even if she was a bit confused.

Great book
My wife's review:Great book for 4th and 5th graders that enjoy graphic novels. Our 5th grader loves Raina Telgemeier's books. If you have a 8-12 yr. old who loves drawing, creative writing and journaling, this is a book they'll enjoy! Our daughter also received some other great books by the same author titled, "Sisters" and another titled, "Ghosts." Other book recommendations are "Camp" and "Click," both by Kayla Miller.
