Anger Management Workbook for Kids: 50 Fun Activities to Help Children Stay Calm and Make Better Choices When They Feel Mad (Health and Wellness Workbooks for Kids) : Snowden, Samantha, Hill, Andrew: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Excellent book to support kids with anger issues - This anger management workbook has been a great tool for both me and my child. It helps us identify trigger points and really guides us through understanding and managing emotions in a healthy way. Going through it together has opened up meaningful conversations and has made a real difference in how we both handle frustration and anger. It’s not just for the child, it's a shared journey, and the workbook makes it easy to follow and apply in daily life. Highly recommend for any parent looking to support their child emotionally while also learning alongside them. Review: Perfect - This is a great product. I bought this for my 7 year old who struggles to manage his emotions, we have worked through about half of the book and it has made such a difference to how he communicates about his feelings. The only negative I would say is that if you were to read it word for word, the paragraphs of text are quite long. I paraphrased a lot of it.

Thank you dr Snowden!
This book is wonderful. I am in desperate need of help to manage angry outbursts of my 9 yo, but didn’t want to go as far as external help. I know what the issues are ( Covid, new school, 11 plus) but I didn’t know how to fix it- it’s incredible how little control we have over our children’s’ lives... This book offers good old fashioned CBT, but written in the language the 9yo can understand. We do the exercises together and it really gives me an insight into my son’s thinking eg- what stresses him out the most about the school is all the new rules and he gets really bad headache when he’s angry ( which is probably making each episode even worse). I realised it might be a generalisation, but I think a lot of boys this age are not able to recognise their feelings and this book creates an ideal platform for exploring them. This morning my son woke me up, book in hand asking: “ Can we do a bit more of the anger book?” You will need to put some time aside for it though, when you are not rushed and they are not tired. But I highly recommend it if you are struggling, which I know a lot of parents are at the moment.

More suited to older children
This was recommended for a 6 year old but would say its more suited to a 8 year old and upwards due to the text and language used in this book.

This was a great tool inside with my step son who I would see every other weekend. It has definitely helped improve his anger and he often references some of activities we did together.

I bought this for my niece who has been having angry out bursts and breakdowns. She has been dealing with some adult issues recently and I wanted to find a way to help her better understand herself and others around her. She couldn't get enough of this book. Her mother is wonderful and worked with her and says it got her to begin understanding how anger feels vs other emotions, how she acts and what alternatives she can use when angry about something. It also helped her understand anger in others and realized she was misunderstanding how others were reacting to her. She's a wonderful 8 year old who is very aware of what is happening around her but just needed some direction on what it means to her emotionally and have her options on how to cope the best she can. I highly recommend this book! Kids are full of questions and we're should be the ones to help guide them. If you don't know how, use resources like there's or inquire with others but first and foremost, listen to what your kids are saying about the world around them and engage in conversation. The most impressionable years on their lives are up to age 7. Take advantage and communicate. Best of luck to all those who have kids. You have the worlds future in that child. God Bless
