Great tool

The unit works well. The instructions are horrible and the claims on the package and on amazon are "alternative facts". First of all "Quick" is a relative term. As stated in the instructions the probe must be left in the soil for at least 10 minutes to get the most accurate reading. The button they refer to must be pressed after a waiting the recommended time and while the unit is still in the soil being sampled. The readings differ between a "quick" insert into the soil vs waiting for the recommended time period. Also you will find a difference in data when the "white" button is pushed. Below are the instructions on the package: 3. Insert the meter directly into the soil that requires testing, embedding its metallic surface completely and tamping down the surrounding soil so that it adheres closely to the meter’s metallic electrode surface. About ten minutes after inserting the meter in the soil, the pointer will indicate the correct value of pH or moisture……………… 4. Press the white/green button and pointer will indicate the correct moisture value.

I love this item. It is durable, easy to use, and easy to read. Be sure the soil is moistened to the depth you insert. Leave in the soil a few minutes to get an accurate reading and be sure to clean after use. I wish it came with the appropriate cleaning wipe. I use a microfiber rag. Excellent for deep containers and in grown gardens.

I planted a new tree in my clay soil yard--it had two foot deep roots, so I found it very hard to know if I was over or under watering it. The leaves started turning yellow, which sent me into a panic. I ordered this so I could get a better idea of what was going on in the lower levels of soil. The meter showed me that the soil was really wet, so I quit watering for a while. The tree is doing much better now!

Im not sure how to use this. I followed the instructions and took the probe out and the ph meter was a perfect 7. How does the white button play into this? Please advise on how to use this tool properly to detect ph?

I went through 3 cheaper models, they did not last. Splurged for this one. MUCH more substantial than others and has lasted through 2 seasons already. I did not test accuracy but my blueberries, which are picky about pH, are happier now! Buying another today for house plants and as a backup. Important to wipe after use and don't use in dry soil.

Purchased on December 21, 2021 and it’s worked perfectly — until today when it stopped working completely. So, great product and a very helpful tool for 2 years.

It's accurate and easy to use. Good ph & moisture indicator for both indoor and outdoor plants. The long and heavy-duty probe can sense the reading deep under the soil reliably. It's exactly what I needed! I can know my plants watering and nutrient needs now. I will recommend my friends to get at least one for their gardens and plants!

E' qualche giorno che lo utilizzo e mi sembra che rispetti le aspettative. Stabile nelle misure e direi ragionevolemente attendibile.

A high quality soil moisture and pH meter. This is not to be confused with many of the cheap and nasty moisture meters sold on here which, according to the reviews, tend to break the second time you use them. This deviceis designed for professional/agricultural use but seems to work just as well with domestic potted plants. Insert the probe into the soil and after a short pause, the gauge slowly moves to display the soil pH. Hold down the white button to obtain a moisture reading. For me, it has already proved invaluable for getting the correct moisture levels in my chilli plants. There's also a useful pH reference guide on the side of the unit which will come in handy in the future. It may be a little pricey compared to the others, but it looks and feels like it will last many times longer.
