Brother PE540D 4x4 Embroidery Machine with 70 Built-in Decorative Designs, 35 Disney Designs, 5 Fonts

Very solid machine with a lot of features. It works right out of the box - my 4-year old granddaughter is learning how to use it, it's that easy! Both she and I are loving it!This is great for small projects, if you need larger designs, you need to purchase a bigger machine. This one works great, love the Disney designs!

Love the machine itself, but was a little disappointed to find that it's so finicky about the thread. Brother should include some little notes as to the fact that you need to use a certain weight top and bobbin thread. I have been a seamstress for 40 years, but had trouble with the tension. Took it in for service, per my 2 calls to Brother, only to find that they supplied a very cheap bobbin thread. Will run beautiful for the majority of an app. but then messed up the end. All in All, if your going to buy the machine, make sure you buy a good quality thread!

Ok. Almost every function malfunctions 50% of the time. East to follow directions but build quality isn't quite right so things like the bobbin wrapping isn't neat which affects use, etc. kind of discouraging

Purchased this for my wife; she LOOOOOVED it. It was a surprise gift, to help her with her sewing. She hasn't told me much of what she likes about it; yet, I hear her on it everyday.She was able to put away her smaller embroidery machine once this one arrived.5 STARS!!

Its not working for me, i am having a difficult time undeerstanding the directions. it's not aseasy as i thought. i checked it on utube but does not give me the answers i require. the disney mickey mouse did not come out correctly. it comes ot white on parts of charactter. do you hace a cd or something i can work with i need help christina

I am having a lot of trouble getting this machine to work properly, the bobbin thread keeps cutting so I have to check it after each thread color change. the tension is never consistent throughout the project. some of the designs are programmed incorrectly in the machine memory so the colors are the wrong color choices. Like Minnie 's bow was black and her ears were white.I have tried 7 different designs and the only one that has turned out is the incredible character. I am going to keep trying. I am very disappointed.

Nana is having so much fun with this embroidery machine! Love the built in Disney and Pixar patterns. Also importing .pes patterns from my laptop is very easy to do. I'm looking forward to completing many more products for my grandkids.
