Very nice matte robe. Here is a review of the specifics I was looking for but not in other reviews. First, robe is made of medium weight solid black fabric, blocks out clothes underneath so whatever is underneath won't show through. Second, zipper, stitching, and hem are all very well sewn. Third, robe drapes without any pulls or puckers down the arms and side seams, hem is straight; pleats across the chest front are even, giving a professional look; stitching was even throughout and threads clipped inside and out. Last, cap has elastic on two sides, the flat top has a sturdy insert, the cap inside was fabric finished. It fit my daughter's rather large, rounded head and with bobby-pins will stay on perfectly. Tassel was wrapped separately and came with a 2017 and 2018 clip that we can switch. Generous length for what we selected; with pleats will fit basically any size person (including women with larger bustline). So, overall---a really great professional robe, cap, and tassel. Five stars.

I bought this gown, cap and tassel set for our daughter, who was graduating from nursing school. The school said that as long as the gown and cap were black the students could get them anywhere. The school had a company (Josten's) selling announcements, gowns, rings, etc. for MUCH more money than I could buy them elsewhere. So I ordered here on Amazon for $20. It arrived quickly, and after a quick low-temp ironing the gown looked great! The zipper is good quality and the material is also. The gown fit just right, based on the size chart on the main product page. The cap also fit just right and didn't need any adjustments or ironing. My daughter had to buy an official tassel through the college, but we save $50 just by comparison shopping.Highly recommend this gown and cap! You want your graduate to look good, but shouldn't have to pay highway robbery prices for something they will wear once for a couple of hours. I learned the hard way with our older daughter - I didn't know we didn't have to use the company selling through the school.

I ordered this in the length appropriate for my height (5'7") and it was way too baggy for me. Luckily I have pretty good sewing skills from taking classes and was able to take it in and make the sleeves as well as the width of the gown smaller. I also shortened it a few inches and it still looked professional. It did arrive with a few long threads which I took care of after tailoring it to my size. Which makes me thankful for having ordered this too big rather than too small. I only wore it once and it looked exactly like all the other gowns so I have no negative comments about it. This material is iron friendly.

We saved about $40 on this- We were told to purchase from the school (Jostens) and they were selling cap/gown pacakges for $60. I decided to check on Amazon and sure enough- we purchased for $20 and these are EXACTLY the same as the ones everyuone else was wearing. My daughter was worried so she called the school and asked... of course they told her that they would not be the same and that she HAD to purchase from the school. I knew that was not true so followed through with my gut and bought this anyway- glad I did (and so was my daughter in the end). I know the school probably makes money off each sale on the ones from Josten's but we are outta there for good and they got way too much of my hard earned dollars over the years anyway! HAHA- I do not know where you are from, but public schools in Illinois are not FREE! HAHA- I say this because my Texas friends are shocked by this.

Purchased this graduation gown package for my daughter's Nursing School graduation. She is 4' 9" tall and 100lbs. We ordered based on her height and the gown fit like it was custom made for her! It was great quality, the material was not too thick or too thin...it was just right for a May graduation. The cap and tassel were equal in quality. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.

I needed a cheap and basic graduation ensemble for my students to use for yearbook senior portraits. This set fit the bill. It looked good in the pictures. The finish on the gown is not shiny (matte, as noted), which I strongly prefer to the shiny stuff that just looks cheap. This one doesn't look cheap. I generally found it not to be as voluminous as some graduation gowns, but it worked nicely for our pictures. The gown zips up easily. The mortarboard comes with standard black tassel, but it's easy to replace that if you want a different color. If you need a fast and efficient graduation gown, this works well.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this graduation gown and cap! The cap fit my head so well! And because it is matte, it isn't silky and slippery. I felt very secure wearing this cap! The gown lays so beautifully and looks very expensive and nice! It is too bad I can't use the same gown for my Master's level graduation, but I will definitely check this seller when the time comes. I ordered the smallest size, I am 5 ft 2 120 lbs. It fit great, and looked great. ladies if you dont want to look like a bleh black bowling ball, get this gown! It looks so nice!

This was a great, cheap alternative to spending the $50+ on a rental robe from my university, and now my siblings or friends can use the robe as well, just need to order their own tassels. It's also nice to be able to take my grad pictures whenever I want - no standing in line on campus the two days others have their robes :) It is a good material and fit in well with the rentals, I was worried that it would look obviously different and it didn't. It did need to be ironed when it came, but that was not problem and to be expected. My university used Herff Jones for their robes. I did order a tassel that was the right color for the college as well, since the one with this one matched the rest of the robe. Glad we've got online options like this to avoid all those companies who think they can gouge you for rentals!
