Works wonderfully! Smells like smoke however…
I have been using a pine tar soap which smells amazing, like a pine Forrest, so wondered why everyone had issues with the smell of this shampoo?I’ve had an itchy scalp recently, so went looking for a good shampoo to help. I have to say in this regard, it worked miracles. After using once my scalp was noticeably better, after a few more uses (over the course of a week) my itchiness was gone and has not returned. Now for the elephant in the room, the smell. It smells like smoke to my mind, not the pine tar scent I had previously experienced from other products. Is it pleasant, not really, I smell like I’ve been burning wood and not in a good way. That said, it is easy to deal with by means of deodorant and aftershave.I bought it for it’s scalp soothing properties and in that it excelled, so for me it’s a clear 5 stars.

Pine tar shampoo
I suffered severe hair loss for months. This shampoo reduces it within the first week. It is now a second time I order it and will continue using it for some time. The smell is strong due to the natural ingredients, but the result is worth it.When you use it, leave it on scalp for as long as you can,but a min of 3 min. You want it to work on the scalp.

Very strong smelling
It works, but it smells incredibly strong. Makes the hair smell like a camp fire.

Great product
After using the shampoo for a few months now. My hair feels great and it's alot stronger and less brittle, I used to get spots on my scalp and this shampoo is helping deal with that problem, it does have a nice smokey scent which you do get used. I'm on my 3rd bottle so far.

Cleared up a breakout that I'd had for months
I bought this shampoo specifically to help me clear up a breakout of spots at the nape of my neck. I always had a rash come up after every haircut, but it got so bad that the 4-6 weeks between my haircuts wasn't enough time for it to heal of its own accord. I started looking up some solutions, and read multiple posts and articles recommending pine tar shampoo. That was nine days ago. The spots were large, sore, and probably repusling anyone who saw the back of my head. They're all-but gone already. The skin still has a few lumps as the biggest welts heal, but the redness, pain, and general angriness is gone already. Unbelieveable. The shampoo does make my hair smell quite strongly, and it's a smell that - for me - is not necessarily pleasant, but also not unpleasant. Just very present in a way that I wouldn't use it as my daily shampoo, unless I find that it's the only way I can have good skin at my hairline.

Smells horrible
I can't get past the smell. It's like tree sapp and bonfire. No amount of conditioner dulls the smell. Cannot use it anymore.

Stinky
Had to return, the smell was disgusting and couldn't imagine using this on my body. I use natural pine cosmetics and imagined this to smell like tar but it did not, can't describe the smell but can't recommend this for anyone
