These are very, very good bulbs.
I bought these to use for many of the lava lamps in my collection and they are EXCELLENT for that purpose. The reason they work so well for that is, because of the silicone coating, the bulb is insulated and puts out slightly less heat than a clear lightbulb of the same wattage. The light and heat output of this bulb is probably the equivalent of a 30-35 watt bulb.

They didn't blow in our oven like the cheaper ones did
We are happy that these bulbs actually hold up to the heat of our oven. We purchased others that were less expensive, but they blew the first time we turned on our oven.
