Quality is immediate.
This was the best purchase of beans so far. I rarely bake anymore, but when I pop the cork, you know you got a good one.

Fitnclean - a company with Integrity
"A year or so ago when our beloved Costco jacked up the price of vanilla - I've been on a mission to find the best beans and price possible- to give the best bottles of vanilla away as occasional "Thinking of you" gifts.(Full disclosure - My hope was the vanilla would pinch a tinge of obligation in the "giftee" to drop some baked goodies off to the "gifters" now and again. )Last year, I researched the dickens out of every brand of beans with decent ratings. We tried out a-bunch of them. When all was said and done ---Fit-n-Clean, was our favorite. That is....until a month ago.In March - we ordered 10 Madagascar beans with the intention of adding a bean to each bottle that had been brewing since Thanksgiving, to give away for Easter. FitnClean’s shipping was swift as usual. I could not wait to get a big ole whiff of that scrumptious fragrance! My "yippee-skippy" fizzled when the beans sent were NOT up to snuff of what we had grown to expect. They smelled good – BUT they were scrawnier than those purchased in the past.ANNOYED, rather than leave a slamming Amazon review, I ACTUALLY found a direct phone number on Fitnclean's website. Given a majority of company business list an email rather than direct contact, I was impressed! Although an answering machine picked up, (pretty sure it was after hours) but I went ahead and left a message; basically asking - "what the heck?" Figuring my message would be blown off, I followed up with a direct email to the company.Hand-to-the-Good Lord above, Fit-n-Clean promptly responded with apologies. Even though it was a very small purchase, They actually acted like they cared about what I was griping about.NOT ONLY THAT…. the next day - I received another an email that provided a tracking number of a replacement headed our way! THEN – get this! AS IF that wasn't great enough - in next-to-no- time, a 12 pack (rather than the 10 ordered) of the most gorgeous vanilla beans I've ever seen graced our mailbox!A few days later, Fitnclean followed up to make sure the beans had met our satisfaction. Brought back memories of the good ole days! Speaking of which…..Being an old-as-dirt gal, I remember the days of business owners being proud of their product and great service. It was refreshing to find a business team that seemed to actually care about having a positive reputation. They sure convinced us - that Fitnclean is a "Real Deal" company. One that proudly believes in their product enough to go the extra mile to place customer confidence and satisfaction as a priority. Even those of us small purchasers.Bottom Line - Integrity-ridden Pro-active companies are becoming a rare find. As far as we're concerned, Fitnclean is in the Honorable "few-and-far-between" company category."

Great product & price.
These were fresh & smelled amazing. I bought these to make my own vanilla. I left them to soak for a year. Best vanilla ever. I will never buy store bought vanilla.

Item seems to be of good quality and should make a good vanilla extract
The item arrived vacuum sealed. The contents were dried vanilla beans that were semi-moist with oils and free of any detectable mold that I've read about in comments from other sellers. Although, I see how it could be an issue just by the nature of the product....especially if the product lost its vacuum. But this product was all good. I cannot comment on the flavor of the item at this is this is my first time making home-made vanilla extract. But I believe the flavor will be very good. In time, we'll see. As a side note, some say the cheapest alcohol is fine, others say the ingredients matter. Considering the price you pay for Vanilla, I'd recommend erring on the side of caution and using a good quality bottom shelf alcohol. I chose 1.75 liter bottles of Very Old Barret bourbon, Seagrams extra smooth Vodka, and Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum(not exactly bottom shelf). But considering how cheap vodka is comparatively speaking, it should be easy enough to find a quality brand vodka to make your extract with. And a search on the net should give you a wealth of info on budget friendly alcohols to use in your extracts. Including my 25 vanilla beans, my project came in at just under 140 dollars to make 10 pints of vanilla. Considering a 1 oz. bottle at the grocery store costs 6.24(on sale), I think this project will be well worth the effort, but if I had went with just Vodka, I could have got the project completed for right around a 100 bucks. Now comes the hard part. Shaking the bottles and waiting for the alcohol to absorb the oils and flavor. Anyways, best of luck in your extract project.

Very Pleased!
I recently purchased 25 grade B vanilla beans from Vanilla Products USA for making vanilla extract. I am just starting out on this venture and decided I wanted to make another batch so I always have 2 going at a time. I bake A LOT. So I purchased these - the Grade A/B beans. While they were being shipped I was at Costco and decided to buy theirs as well just to compare. 5 Madagascar beans - package does not indicate grade. These grade A/B were so much more plump and supple! And the smell! You could smell the vanilla through the packaging! Size was 6-7" as advertised as well. Can't wait for the extract to be ready (using bourbon in both batches!Costco was a little better than Vanilla Products grade B, but not by much so cost-wise the other brand was a better deal. They were much drier as you can see below from the weight comparison and were not near as fragrant. Here is the breakdown based on what I received:Brand Quantity Weight $/Bean $/OzCostco 5 .3 oz $2.60 $43.33Vanilla Products 25 1.7 oz $1.12 $16.47FitNClean 25 2.7 oz $1.76 $16.30
