This formula is similar to their ProBiota HistaminX blend, expect it's all bifidobacterium strains. (The other formula also includes two lactobacillus/lactiplantibacillus strains.)But both formulas use only strains that do not add or trigger more histamine, thank goodness! I take the ProBiotia HistaminX and give this one to the cats. (We had a cat on antibiotics who ended up at the emergency vet with life-threatening constipation. Never again.) They don't have histamine issues (as far as I know!), but it's gentle for them while still being effective and they don't even need me to camouflage it. I just sprinkle some on their food. Big plus.I highly recommend either one if you need a well-researched and reliably effective probiotic formula, but especially if you have any issues around histamine and need one you know won't make them any worse. Dealing with histamine issues is tricky enough. Iykyk. I use a combination of their formulas for mine and am very happy to say they're now managed as a result. Thank goodness.

I had damaged or killed the much needed bacteria in my stomach by being on some high powered antibiotics that were necessary. This product helped put the good stuff back, and I’m doing great now.

I suffer from Histamine Intolerance. My symptoms are all gastrointestinal for the most part...pain, cramps, gurgling after eating and trips to the bathroom at record speed sometimes. Could not go out to eat with my family. I have been taking the ProBiota Bifido for 3.5 weeks and have only had one issue (Arby's...need I say more?!). My stomach doesn't hurt after meals and no racing to the bathroom. I still go pretty often but it's formed and cramp free! If you are experiencing this then you understand what I've been through. These are definitely worth a try. I take them in the morning right after breakfast...no reason...it's just how I started doing it and I'm not messing with a good thing. 1 per day is all I've tried. I do still have a pretty nasty patch of psoriasis on my leg that isn't clearing up so something is still going on inside but not dealing with stomach issues has taken my anxiety down about 500 notches! Good luck :)PS-tomatoes are a huge trigger for me...I haven't tried anything more than a slice of pizza with very light sauce at this point...I did have to use the bathroom after but no diarrhea.

Very disappointed. This product has really helped me and is one probiotic I can actually take due to MCAS, histamine issues and a very sensitive stomach. I was finally getting to a place where I could take it more regularly and was excited to get my gut started on the path towards healing, so I ordered more as I got low on the previous bottle. I noticed the bottled seemed a bit bigger but didn’t really think about it until I took one and ended up with major issues. My stomach and esophagus felt clogged and crampy, like I had eaten one of the foods that doesn’t agree with it. It lasted for days and I was miserable. Decided to look at the bottle, totally new formula, including ingredients that I am unable to tolerate and that really cheapen what used to be a clean product. Very disappointed, as I went back to the amazon link I purchased it from and the old bottle and old ingredient information are still listed with not so much as a note stating “New formula!” I called to attempt to get a bottle of the old formula but didn’t receive much help so they provided me with a refund. It is just shocking to me that a company can change a good formula like that and not notify people, especially when using such inferior ingredients. The people they are making these products for tend to be very sensitive individuals, otherwise they would pay half the price for a basic probiotic!

So far, so good. My doctor switched my probiotic to this brand/type and it seems to be working just fine. I cannot comment on it's effectiveness since I was previously taking a probiotic and therefore I have not noticed any differences. However I can say that taking a probiotic overall does seems o help my digestive health. This one is rather pricey, but I will continue with it for now since it was recommended to me by my doc.
