Works well. I had to cure the top of the spring cassette to fit my door handles taking off about 4mm of material but all that takes is sandpaper, a little elbow grease and about 5 mins per spring - no particular skill required. Had to do the same to another manufacturers springs last time so this is normal.Once shaped and fitting in the handle do a trial assembly on the door and then grease the spring (while it sits in the handle, less messy that way) using whatever grease you have (I used grease bought for my VW Golf rear wheel bearing in 1984).It will be stiff at first but this eases off over a couple of weeks (assuming it goes the same way as the last springs I bought) so don't worry. After a few week you won't notice a difference between your repaired doors and any door other door in the house.

These spring boxes worked perfectly. They fitted without modification, and restored proper operation.

Replaced old cassettes that had been on door for the past 11yrs that started to make a noise. These were easy to fit and done Job initially but have just started to make the same noise as the old ones. Not sure if the cold weather has caused this but the others lasted more than a month. Jury is still out but not looking good so far.

Great product for a fair price, a generic spring loaded cassette - they tend to wear out where the square steel shaft between the handles meets the die cast aluminium square cut out.Treat as a consumable item and have a couple of spares to hand.Easy to change, just remove the handle.

Works fine but would prefer giving a comment in a years time.
