I have a Bernina Q20. I bought a Bernina laser kit for $150 about 5 years ago. I loved it and it was great for accuracy. It came apart and repairs were to costly. I bought this one and my husband and installed it. Works every bit as well and much easier and less complicated to install.

I like this laser to help my sewing. It will move easy, so must be adjusted quite a bit.

I bought it specifically to mount to my sewing machine to use when piecing quilt blocks. It’s a great idea, but it is difficult to get it to adjust and stay put. The flexible neck is too flexible... when I position it where I want, the neck wants to bounce back to whichever direction I moved it from. And trying to adjust the straight line laser to line up accurately is frustrating and is never accurate because of the overly flexible neck. Fine tuning is a pain in the butt... I get the laser pointed as close as I can, attempt to adjust the laser line, and... nope! It’s all wonky again because the neck won’t stay put. I think it would work great if the neck was a little more rigid. I may try wrapping it in wire or something to add a little more inflexibility to see if it helps. I do love that it’s rechargeable and that it’s portable (use it on a cutting table).

This laser tool works well for accurately sewing and quilting. I tried to use it to make half-square triangles and it did make it easy without needing to draw lines on the fabric. Sadly, it also triggered migraine headaches for me. I found I couldn't use it for more than a few minutes without a headache and nausea. So, if sensitivity is not a problem it is a useful tool. But be aware if you get migraines it may not be for you.

I absolutely love this product! It allows me to use the straight laser line for quilting and sewing and has a cross hair lens for design positioning in the embroidery hoop. Also, a third dot laser which I haven used yet, but would be great for stitch-in-the-ditch quilting.My product arrived missing the crosshairs lens, so I contacted the manufacturer directly. Dave at Harbor Sales, Inc. was very prompt in contacting me and had a replacement crosshairs lens shipped out to me ASAP. I am awed by such wonderful customer service and the desire on Dave’s part to ensure customers who purchase the Vivilux are taken care of and delighted with their product.I will definitely be a returning customer!

Installed this on my wife’s sewing machine. Wished there was a better way to install it, but that isn’t a compliant about this light. It works great.
