It does magnify
The phone rested on the stand well. It’s lightweight and it’s compact. It does it job enlarging the image size on my phone. Images is good. It’s a good idea to take it on the plane. Constantly watching stuff on my phone hurts my eye.

This thing lasted two minutes on my table, trying to set it up/ focus before I sent it to the trash can. What a piece of crap.

A Bit of DIY Involved
Very effective at magnifying one's phone screen, etc. A bit of assembly is required. It would be helpful if the true mechanism (with all parts showing) were prominent on the product's Amazon page.
