My mom had same kind of meat grinder for over 50!!! years. It worked. always. for over 50 years. This product did not work the first time and never will. It's very apparent that ZERO effort was put into quality: the body is all rough with means that after sand-casting nobody took a few minutes to polish the rough edges. The cutting knife is NOT SHARPENED AT ALL. Not that it just was not sharpened enough. No! there is zero evidence of ANY EFFORT to sharpen it. It is also rough, not polished after sand-casting. The feet are not designed well as they just dig their heels into the counter with provides ZERO grip unless you want to damage the counter. The metal rusted immediately even though I followed the instructions and oiled it. Anyway. Don't buy it. The crappiest crap. See the pictures.

I love my grinder. It is easy to use and exactly what I wanted. It's easy to put together and eventually clean. It came with a clamp protector which I didn't realize how to use it or that it was available until it was too late. You definitely need that part to make sure you don't damage your counter.

What I thought was a #10 turned out to be a #8 so will have to purchase a different one later on and just hope this holds up to what I need for now. A rather expensive (for me) oops. Looks ok out of the package, going to wash it and grease it before trying to use it on anything so no idea how it's going to work yet. Looks are a bit rougher, more of an unfinished look, than the one I had before so we'll see how it goes.. Edit #1: Blade is very poorly made and duller than a butterknife. Blade and disks rusted before I got everything dried, the blade has so many grooves I can't get the all the rust and the small holed disk, I have absolutely nothing to clean it so unusable for now. Basically, until I can find a way to clean all the rust, it's fully a useless purchase.

I do not know how people used this meat grinder, maybe they assembled it incorrectly or something else... but my meat grinder works fine, like the ones that were in the good old days. He grinds any meat without much effort, but it will be better if the meat is slightly frozen, this will facilitate the process. Definitely five stars! I also want to add that it came in excellent condition, without defects, burrs, rust.

This merchandise was advised to me as "the best". My mom and I were making fig cookies for the first time and a good grinder was a necessity. The price was great. It was Amazon Prime and I paid the extra money for next day delivery. We received the product with no instruction book. E-mailed them and they e-mailed an instruction book which we had to print. We also had a problem with the turning handle. It kept falling off. I don't think they believed this one as they required more documentation. By that time, cookies were made, my mother's hand was blistered, but my husband took photos and sent it to them. Almost a week later they send a new turning handle. We do not understand how something that should have been welded together was apart. I do have to say that the company took care of any problems. I would buy from this company again, but only if they make sure that it was in A+ condition.

Tightening item down to table with C clamp; the basis for getting this item to work efficiently, is incredibly fragile. My grandparents used to have the older meat grinders which were quality metal, could tighten that thing till youre shaking, even then, it could go much tighter; often using alternative means to tighten. This however, is not like the old style ones, its a cheap new age alternative sold to the masses and marketed as quality, capitalizing on the idea of the old style ones being so reliable… Not 5 minutes and the cast iron snapped at the base of the C clamp. Absolutely laughable. We’re forgetting how to make even the most simple things, reliable. Don’t waste your money. For the future, since your metals are consumer quality metals, find an alternative C clamp to go over the meat grinder and fasten it down to the table. Leave the meat grinder floating, make the C clamp an additional part that can hold the meat grinder. The one manufactured to be attached to the meat grinder is; too shallow, fragile, limiting. I don’t understand how innovation on such an old idea, cannot be had. C clamps by themselves, come reliably amongst many other companies… why include a subpar one? Disappointing, I’ll just make my own meat grinder.
