Pete the Cat and the Lost Tooth (My First I Can Read) Kindle Edition

As a professional reviewer who writes for several magazines, I often get free products in exchange for reviews. I have NOT been given any books about Pete the Cat in exchange for review, but I love the Pete the Cat series so much I wanted to write a short review anyway! My children and I LOVE the Pete the Cat series. For Book Day at school, my son dressed as Pete the Cat and brought one of his favorite Pete the Cat books with him. We have read almost every book in the Pete the Cat series and have loved every one. The stories are the perfect length for little ones and every book is a fun adventure waiting to be read. The stories are easy to read with beginner readers and have fun pictures on every page for younger siblings who can't read yet.The Pete the Cat series is often read in my eldest son's school and is loved by all his classmates and teachers alike. If you are looking for a fun series to read with your children, you can't go wrong with Pete the Cat!

I purchased these books for a 6 year old/1st grader who is a budding reader. Prior to getting this book I had already purchased 6 of this Pete the Cat: I can read series from Walmart (Pete the Cat: Sir Pete the Brave; Sir Pete the Cat: Tip Top tree house; Pete the Cat: Pete's Big Lunch; Pete the Cat: Pete's train trip; Pete the Cat: and the Surprise Teacher; Pete the Cat: Too cool for school) I wanted more so I got them from Amazon because Walmart never had any that I did not already have. The books were $3.78 at Walmart so the price on Amazon was comparable. I love the series! The words are in big print. The art work is great and the pictures assist with the helping the child figure out the words and context. Also uses the most common sight words. Most important, each book has some simple but effective message about sharing, being a good friend, overcoming your fears, or being yourself. This book is a Guided Reading Level E

I thought this would be more about losing a tooth and waiting for the tooth fairy... not being able to be a tooth fairy helper and give money to people who don’t even have teeth? Our 6 year old didn’t care for it either.

Nothing beats the original Pete the Cat books such as “Rocking I’m my School Shoes,” “I Love my White Shoes,” and “Four Groovy Buttons.” That being said, it’s still Pete the Cat and if you’re kids are familiar with the books or his new Amazon show, then they’ll like this book. My daughter lost a tooth and got this book and a dollar as a treat. She was thrilled! Does the story make a ton of sense? No, but it still has a good lesson at the end and Pete is being his kind, helpful self and it’s about the tooth fairy, so win, win for kids. Parents, not so much, but you’ll get over it.

I bought this cute little book for my daughter when her tooth became loose. I made a "care package" from the tooth fairy and this book was one that graced the experience. My daughter loves Pete the Cat and this book fits right in with our collection.

The tooth fairy is always a fun thing for children. Pete the Cat books are always full of great images and fun stories. My boys (6 & 4) loved this book and had fun watching Pete help the tooth fairy.

We don’t own a ton of Pete the cat but I generally like the series. This was not what I expected and kind of bizarre. Pete loses a tooth and becomes a tooth fairy helper... like the idea of the tooth fairy isn’t unrealistic enough. I feel like this one missed the mark.

Not as good as the older books written by Eric L. Smaller physically and story material not as good. Try to find books from the "white shoes and groovy buttons" era. Much better.
