Q: will it work on a wooden night stand?

I use this tweexy on my wooden snack tray tables when in living room and my plastic short leg table that I use when I polish nails in bed. I love this thing. I find it works great. I'm in my 60's and have always done my own nails. I've had mine for a couple years now and ordered a second one. Although I cannot imagine how this could ever break. You just push it straight down to form suction. I slide it as needed to polish left or right hand so you don't have to break suction when you switch hands or if you need to move it over a little as your polishing. Great as you can easily tilt when needed Such a smart design. It is not a super tight suction but won't come up or off on its own. Have fun. You will get the hang of it.

Q: How do I get it to Stick? I put in on a plastic laptop holder and it just slides around

I use on plastic tabletop and it works good. I just put straight down and push down. It creates a suction. You may have to clean tabletop with soap water and dry. Maybe wipe bottom of tweexy with wrung out wet cloth. I can slide mine a little. I have to be able to slide tweexy in different areas on tabletop when I switch to polish my other hand. It doesn't slide on its own. It says if you pull straight up you break suction. I tend to slide and lift corner to break suction. You will get the hang of it. I've had mine for a couple years and just bought a 2nd one. Doesn't usually go under $14. I think I paid under $11 originally.

Q: Is this acetone safe?

Hi To your question, 'yes' this is a nail polish holder and associated usually is nail polish remover they go hand in hand. Acetone: pure acetone is a colorless flammable, aromatic and mobile liquid that's used in nail polish remover and paint thinner, nail polish remover would never be pure acetone so of course it's safe to use around the holder.

Q: Does anyone know if this will hold a square bottle, like those used by Holo Taco brand?

It does hold square ones. I’m not familiar with Holo Taco but I have some ILNP square bottles (they’re all 0.4 fl.oz) and it does just fine with them. It also holds triangle ones like Sally Hansen Insta-Dri and oblong shaped ones like Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat.
