Best product out there
I've spent hundreds of dollars and hundred of hours of different methods and products to keep birds from nesting under my retractable awning. This purchase was my last try to keep my sanity besides taking down the awning. I applied the gel as directed and I have not had to deal with nesting birds or the nasty mess they leave behind. It instantanily worked.I strongly recommend this product.

Stands up to the Arizona heat.
Well, I’m not one typically do a review. But the complexity of this one struck a cord with me. My first hesitation was in regards to wondering if it would just melt off in our AZ heat. Saw another review that said it would not. I totally agree. It stayed put and did not get fazed by our summer heat one bit. I was so happy with results of the first tube that I ordered another one but was still a bit short even after 2. The birds were gone instantly. It was amazing. My cars were getting assaulted by the birds. Like beyond belief. It was easy to install, not visually offensive. But then about the time the 3rd tube showed up, so did the monsoons. Here is where I lost a bit of my excitement. The leaves and sticks dropping from the tree in the storms would land in the gel and then fall further onto our cars. So about 3-4 weeks in and I was totally regretting my decision. I hesitated to use the 3rd one I ordered. Birds were gone, but now I had the most sticky gel spots, all over my cars. At this point I totally regretted putting this up. A few more weeks passed and I started to get a little bit of bird droppings again in one spot. I ventured up into the tree to find one area I didn’t get very well. I also noticed that most of the gel had a nice coating of very small debris, bugs and other fun stuff. I had also noticed the amount of gel hitting the cars had slowed way down as well. So I decided to go ahead and use the 3 tube on the spot I missed, and the other areas I hadn’t done. That was about 3 weeks or so ago. Still not getting much at all of the gel coated leaves and sticks coming down. At this point I’m torn, I don’t know if I would go this route or try using the spikes. The other down fall is as the branches grow down they blow and get into the gel also, so then when I trim anything in that area, I’m getting to a bit of a sticky mess. I don’t really regret it at this point. But the ease of install up front, kind of lost its shine by the mess after. I think this stuff is awesome and definitely works if you know what your in for.Pros:Easy to use.Works great at keeping the birds away. Not visibly noticeable.Cons:Sticky is an understatement. It’s a mess if you touch it or gets on what you don’t want it on. Once it’s installed, it’s a (near impossible) mess to remove. It does not go very far. My larger tree branch’s needed multiple beads. 10’ then turns in 5’ or even into 2.5’ on the really thick areas.Trimming the tree and regrowth into the gelled areas is a mess.

Good but, know this…
We bought this gel to keep crows off our upper deck railing which is where they landed before hopping over to our lawn furniture and pecking out all the stuffing. So we followed the directions and applied on our painted wood railing. Next morning, no crows but, we did have to pick off about 75 flies, mosquitoes, knots and other tiny insects that became stuck in the gel and were at various stages of dying. If you are applying it in an area that you don’t have to look at, fine. But, there were so many bugs that landed on the railing and got stuck, we are now trying to figure out how to remove the gel fully. Bottom line, good product, does the work bit, maybe it’s too good.

at last a working solution to pesky birdS nests
With all the trees and hay all over our property. These little birds come back every year to build nest behind all our 8 spotlights mounted on our exterior wall. We tried spikes and they kept coming back within hours to build another nest. I received this and caulked on all the edges of the spotlight and cords. This stuff is a pain to get off your fingers, so it's got to be annoying to get it on your feet or feathers. These bird no longer come around. THIS WAS THE PERMANENT FIX !!

Oozed out from the back in caulk gun
Very bad quality. The Gel started oozing out completely from the back when placed in the caulk gun creating a mess. Could not use it. It just oozed out from the back making a big mess on our hands, clothes and floors. It was hard to wash off and get everything clean.

Repellent Gel for birds works GREAT!
I've lived in my home for over 30 years. This year was the first time ever a bird from hell decided to perch on the door handle of my storm door and then peck on the door with its beak. (The door handle is horizontal, not cylindrical.) None of the previous methods (WD40, cayenne pepper, aluminum foil, plastic bag) worked so I tried this gel as a last resort. I put it all over the top of the handle and even on my two outside light fixtures where birds sometimes try to make nests. It works great. Will order a bunch more later to place on top of my chain link fence that surrounds my yard :) Note: The bird would still return, leaving droppings all over the carport while it searched for a place to perch. So I ordered some appliqués to place on the glass part of my storm door to deter them and that also seems to have helped.

Works, BUT birds Will Die. Don't get on your hands!
Yes it works.... Maybe too good. Its great for pigeons, medium to large birds; bad for smaller or weak birds. Not only do they get stuck and you have to deal with getting them out, they get the gel (and it is reallllllly sticky gel!) in their wings so they can't fly and they will die. Pigeons were trying to nest constantly in the rafters of my patio cover, and really tough to reach to put a drop of this gel in tight angles. If you get it on your fingers it is worse than Super Glue cause it doesn't dry. Use disposable food-prep gloves. Put a drop on your finger, then place it in the hard to reach areas. Get it exactly where you want it, cleaning it elsewhere is really tough. My BIGGEST CONCERN is 1 year from now cleaning all this gel up to paint. -2 Stars for small birds, and cleaning.
