Q: Is there anything except thec7 pieces to attach them together? I put the pieces together but it is very unstable.

I thought the same thing. it works better when you put the china or plastic ware in it. It seems to fit a bit better. My family members tinkered with it a bit. Otherwise, I was about to return them. I bought 2. My mother in law wanted the other one. I guess it serves its purpose.

it is small to begin with, so unless the plates were very small, square would not work

I put the cups on the Square and the utensils are in the circle

Q: Does this piece come in white??

You can probably buy a white spray paint and make it white yourself.
