Does this have a plasticy smell to it?

I have had it quite a bit so the initial smell has worn off but smelling it now I would say it is more of a slight rubbery smell.

is this different to a [cheaper] pilates/yoga ball that needs inflating?

This one needs inflating too which is the whole point as sometimes a less inflated ball is required and verse vica. I don't have any experience of the cheaper pilates/yoga balls

When this ball arrives in the mail is it deflated, and then you have to blow it up yourself?

Yes, the same as any yoga or Pilates ball.

Useful for stomach digestive issues

Easy to blow up don't be tempted to over inflate especially for stomach digestive reflux issues. It seems to relax the muscles an IPd is gentle. Follow the instructions

Great Massage product

I often get bad stomach pains (daily) and this really helps just massage the area as it allows you to put your whole body weight on it. I guess this would work on other areas of the body legs etc. Great product. Comes flat with a little straw thing so you have to inflate.

Nonsense size and highly overpriced

I have ordered this item twice and the second ball is about 2cm wider than the first one (?) and came without anything to inflate it.Quality wise I find it overpriced as it is no different from a much cheaper one the hospital gave me.
